Default Stinger 64 with baby Kolibri

Wow, this is cool! I happened to come across a new tiny engine from Martin and Marcel. Still a prototype running critical but working good enough to get in the air with my Stinger 64. AUW of a bit under 2lb with the thrust of a little more than that. The guys doing the magic are waiting for new casted parts to get it running better and to bump the power. Already with a little more then 2lb of thrust the Stinger goes pretty well. Launches perfect too with no problems of the extra weight. (I think the EDF is lighter?!)

Marcel got one in a Squall too, pretty amazing

The baby Kolibri engine is 45mm(1.75") in diameter 92mm(3.6") long and weighs in at 150grams(5.3oz)

Makes the standard kolibri look huge

About 2lb now, with changes Martin and Marcel expects 50% more or so. If they decide to manufacture this engine I think it will be the perfect choice for 70mm EDF planes.

We got the engine running while Frank Schroeder was flying his Aurora (about the same size LOL), so it's his plane doing knifedges.

So far not any news. Kolibri production and plans for a larger facility are keeping Martin and his crew busy.

Hi Henke,

Do you know if Martin is making any progress with the turboprop.

Cheers

Craig.
