Can anyone post pictures of the there mains and gear, I appear to have a problem with mine where my current setup is not usable. When on the wheels the plane is causing the wheels to camber out (bow out) and his causes the top of the wheel to rub against the strut acting like a brake. It is so bad that the plane can not even roll out.

I have a video here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulTHeSFxSAc

This is a used airframe so I'm not sure what mods are done but the axel looks to be a steel bolt, also its only supported by 1 small bearing, on 1 side, is this how the stock setup is?

Fixing the set screw was a lot harder than figuring this one out, I don't need to see the stock set up to know you're missing the outside bearing and the bolt should be a steel pin that fits the ID of the bearings. Measure the ID of the existing bearing and the ID of the recess where the bolt sits now and the depth of the recess then go to http://www.bocabearings.com/bearing-...adial-bearingsp and plug your dimensions into the calculator and see what comes up. What you need may be metric so you might need to check both ways. I wish you showed this to me this weekend I had a digital caliper with me and we could have figured it out.

Alkaline those are the measurements:

Axle 6X60mm
Bearing 6X10mm

Please PM Billy D he should have axle in stock and let me know if you can not find bearings there, I will send you from China and any other issue you can contact me [email protected]

Alkaline,

This is the picture as the landing gear comes from the factory, the hub was removed to show the bearings and axle.

But do get the hardened axles from BillyD, these axles fit the bearings without the slop you appear to have in the video, have the same problem on my DerJet Vampire when I bent an axle and replaced with a bolt, the fit to the bearings must be close to avoid this.

Unfortunately he is currently banned from RCU, I've forwarded the bearing size and contact information.

I received mine today in the Thunderbirds paint scheme. Overall it looks like a nice kit. There is no gloss on the red. Is this normal? Also can someone post pictures of how the elevator servos are installed please. Also is there an instruction booklet?

Can you send me pictures about the red?

Regard the manual you should receive a blue folder with all the instructions also you should receive a bag with some spare parts including a set of tires, valves etc... Let me know if the manual is not there I will send to you a PDF file by email so you can start to build it.

Hi J.C. I haven't flown it yet still deciding witch turbine use I was thinking The Jetcat 300 but after reading they are having problems might wait to see how the Kingtech 250 or 300. I think it will been fine for grass but mines 23kg dry without turbine.

Hi Damo,
My total dry weight including ordnance and Jet Central Mammoth is 29.8 kg
I have the Detail 4 scale afterburner ring, parachute and lights, and a custom bypass cover, servos are all JR8911 including doors ,speed brakes, steering and mini servos for landing lights and canopy opening. Plane fly's ok, but I think it is way to heavy for the gear design.
Please keep in mind to pin your gear ,the set screws will not hold and the gear will spin. I am very hesitant to fly it on grass. I certainly appreciate if some other owners posted their aircraft weights

Fuse weight 44.1 Lbs 20.04 kg
right wing 9.2 Lbs 4.18 kg
left wing 9.2 Lbs 4.18 kg
ordnance 3.1 Lbs (with plastic Probe) 1.4 kg
___________________ ----------------
total 65.6 Lbs DRY WEIGHT 29.8 kg ( metal Probe add 6 oz)

Once again thanks for the info

I've spoken to Randy & read Lewis's comments on flying his, they both said they love it! I wanted the new CARF, but it's a fortune & I already have enough hard to transport big planes, so I decided to give this and the Airworld a look. Seems everyone loves the finished Airworld, but I hear it's a serious amount of work to build. My buddy with the AW said he'd never build another, but saw this one fly & thought it flew really nice. It does sound very heavy for its size though. Really curious j.c.a.

J.C,

First, depend on what accessories you install in the jet it will make light or heavy assembling, we have some F100 dry at 50 Lbs, so been a heavy plane she was not designed to fly from a grass field, second the landing gear is not suitable for, if you want to fly from a grass field you should have a landing gear that is trailing link otherwise all the impact and vibration of taking off and landing on a normal gear will be transferred to the plane causing other problems, including your instruments and accessories.

Hi Wagner
You don't need trailing links from grass a good friend flys his Mibo A10 Comp Arf Euro and Mig 15 from grass and I fly my Skymaster F16 also. We have a few jet event here from bitumen air strip and it vibrant the crap out of the jets
