Hey Rich,

Yep, finally got the time to get a flight in on Sunday. She was way out of trim and was a hand full the first few min. I ran out of down trim on the radio. I need to mechanically adjust the elevator to allow more down trim and I beleive she will be a pleaure to fly. The landing was WAY better than Winimac hehe. She just floated down for a soft landing.

Looking forward to flying with Rod next week in East TN.

Hi Andy, Sorry I missed this one but I couldn't overcome an obstacle this time. Hope to see you there next time.

Which Rafale do you have? I have always wanted to try one but I have not tried canards yet...I love the BVM version...anyway, does it fly like the F16 or the Hornet?

Dave,

There has been a bit of a resurgance lately of the BVM Rafale. Andy, Goose, Scott Harris, Sean McHale, Sebastian Kowolski, and myself are all flying them. Buck Garza is repainting his and should have it back in the air soon. Most of us have nicknames for them as follows:

Goose: Great Pumpkin Rafale
Sean: Phoenix Rafale
Sebastian: Edwards Rafale
Andy: Skiddles Rafale
Jim: Grey Poupon Rafale
Buck: Hello Kitty Rafale

If you are interested in joining the club, Tim Redelman has a new-in-box (single engine version) kit, gear, tanks, pipe, etc for sale.

Regards,

Jim

It really doesn't fly like either imo. It kinda has characteristics of both but different. If I had to choose I would say Hornet.
