Thanks for posting Pete I have been wondering when someone would post some. This event is on my bucket list, being so far away and all. Barrys' F-14 looks great, I can't wait for mine to get here should be a good time at KY jets this next year!

10 hours worth of driving later, I have hundreds of great photos and a few hours worth of raw of video from a fantastic weekend and event. Joe and company did a fine job of transforming this remote field into a veritable oasis of turbine powered goodness and fun times with friends! I attended at Joe's invitation and will be putting together a coverage article for an upcoming FlyRC magazine. But I plan to leak some of the media here in the days to come.

Best event I have been to! Joe C knows how to put one on! It was great to see old friends, meet new ones and put some faces to screen names. The guys working the flight line were awesome and big thanks to them! I'm in for next year for sure.

Sorry for no pics but I was to busy flying and hanging out....

Yep,

Joe and co do a great job. I'm bummed I'm still too sick to fly, but God willing I'll be up and about for next year's meet. It's one of my 'recovery' resolutions to attend more meets with my family in tow next year. I'm glad you guys had fun.

Thank you Joey and Nancy for putting on this fantastic event. Your flight line boss Todd Burley handled the flying with ease. It was organized and the non stop flying went very smoothly. I had a great time and will definately be back again next year!!

Did CARF Models demo the new DG 800S with a P100??
If so, how did it perform?

Barnesjonr those are the highest quality pics I have ever seen on any RC website. Do you take pictures for a living or just a hobby?

Thanks for the compliment! No, I am certainly not making a living of off shooting photos but I sure do enjoy the hobbies of both RC and shooting media!

A big Thank you to Joe C and the BARKS club for hosting this event. I had the opportunity to come down for some flying on Friday and Saturday and could not have enjoyed the event more. It was great to spend time with my Nor Cal friends and even better to put some new faces to the names that we read about all the time. I had the chance to visit with and chat with guys like Joe McBride, Peter Goldsmith and Ali Machinchy which was a great part of the event. The absolute peak of the event for me was the encounter with The Colonel. While fueling my T33 for another flight, Colonel Thacker was nearby and commented on the plane. I stopped fueling and we talked for a while about the aircraft and his current free flight modeling. Near the end of the conversation I asked for a photograph and he suggested we include my model. I thought I would share it with all of you. It will be on the wall in my shop as a memory of this event. What a gentleman. Thank you Colonel Thacker for taking a few minutes with me.

Thanks to the flight line crew including my buddy Todd Burley for the flight line controls. There were an unbelievable number of flights without incident.

Special Thanks to Paul Tradelius for sharing some tent space with me for the weekend. Paul piled on the flights with his Shockwave during the weekend. Thank you again Paul!

Big thanks to Joe C and to Nancy who welcomed me by name when I signed in. Thanks for making me feel welcome at my first BITW.

Joe C,
Thanks for a great time at my 1st BITW. I've had my turbine waiver for a only few weeks and flying in front of a huge crowd and skilled pilots was a bit intimidating but everyone made me feel welcome and very comfortable. the ground crews were great in keeping me out of trouble and the communication between pilots was fantastic. I look forward next year!

Thanks,

Jack
