Welcome to the highest performance engine on the market!

Its about time we see brushless motors in our turbines. Talk about ZERO maintenance and more precise control.
When brushless motors hit the R/c world, my mind was blown.
I hope that we can change over to the brushless fuel pumps in our brushed engines! Very unlikely I feel.
Oli, I'm out of money man, I can't buy anymore of all these turbines you keep throwing out here!!!

Unfortunately there is no talk at the moment to release a BL upgrade retrofit kit for older series Brushed engines.

A Draft horse is always cheaper than a race horse Ken
P.S. List price of the M200XBL is also US$3250 also but does not include shipping from Spain to Destination country.

Pretty sure I saw 210N (21kg) on the Merlin 200 video and I saw 28 Degrees C. Merlin does this at 550g/min fuel/min.
I havent seen a K210 video yet.

Thats just pretty typical of Gaspar, all his engines have higher actual figures than the name suggests.
This way at elevated temperatures and altitudes the figure quoted in the name remains true.

My Feedback: (176)
I think the Merlin it's much better with all the advanced technology witch kingtech just don't have ,I have two kingtech turbines and two Merlin vt-80's and the Merlins are much better + the service it's after 50h and the using 2 stroke oil the performance it's just sick ,don't get me wrong the kingtech turbines are grate to and the service with Barry it's 100% with fastest service time in the US the will be hard chose to decide witch to buy?,the Merlin it's the winer in all categories ,thrust, fuel consumption ,respond .the kingtech service and equal price and all the good thinks to go with will make me buy k-210g I just wish the fuel consumption will be little less .

sysiek I know for a fact that the Jets Munt Service agents in the US have just as much pride as we have in their/our servicing turnaround times.
In Australia we particularly benefit from a very useable time difference between us and Spain so direct factory contact and support, pretty much 7 days a week is very reassuring.

Does it really matter what it's called.
I think the most important thing to someone purchasing any engine is Service, thrust, fuel consumption, size ( which so far from what I have seen Merlin are producing some very small size engines which is great, electronics and price.
I think the price is very reasonable for the value you get.
At the end of the day they can call it Donkey 300 because for as long as on the specification sheet it puts out what is written that's all that matters.
And no I don't own any Merlin engines just seeing the logic of it all.

I'm on no one side here and I enjoy reading some treads including the start of this one when you here that a manufacturer has introduced something new to there line. I also enjoy doing build treads if I know someone is interested in it.
I however find some of the comments being said a little disgraceful.
I think Merlin just like some other brands have been out long enough to have earned a good reputation for them selves.
Honestly if anyone is not happy about the price well simply don't buy it. If it's crap, well fine bag it out but give it a chance before you do.
At the end of the day buy what you like and can afford to spend but no need for any nasty comments just for the sake of making other brands look better than what they are. If something is good people will buy it but some will always have a preferred brand.

Ultimately pretty much all engines currently in the market deserve to be there, there is room for all.
I have owned plenty of engines from all the manufacturers mentioned on here so far and although some have had issues, I'm happy to say every issue has been delt with factory support in a manner we all expect, from this I know that they all take their businesses very seriously and so again my opinion is they deserve to be in business.
Personally im not interested in a slanging match between manufacturers or their fans, what does interest me is bringing a new exciting engine and all its innovation into the market.

Obviously it isn't putting out 210N in 33C ambient, or it would have been way over 250N in 15C standard, wonder what compensation formula is written in the software to indicate the thrust shown. Awesome engine at an excellent price, will most likely end up with one end of the year, congrats Merlin!

Actually, this thread is a by-product of the latest slavo in the turbine manufacturers wars.. I don’t think it is any accident that Kingtech have dropped the price of their newly released K210, the same week the M200XBL is released. At exactly the same price listed. (Albeit freight included). Turbines are just getting better, and cheaper.
Of course this war is all great for us, the end users. . But it means only the best and most innovative of the suppliers will survive.
