You must not have used the imbed photo function from RCU, they are filtered out on the network that my computer is connected to at the moment so I can not see them.
I can see them from my Smart Phone
Cool it looks like Mark has his maiden on the Purple Dolphin, congratulations!
One thing I noticed, I didn't see any crow in the Ailerons with full flaps? Maybe it is there and I just can't see it.

So, the maiden turned out pretty well. It went pretty much like the first Dolphin. High rate on elevator was way too much (I had a little more than recommended). Low rate was still fairly touchy but most of my planes are touchy on the controls so it was still comfortable. High rate on ailerons was slow for my taste but not bad. With the Kingtech 210 I immediately went to half throttle at liftoff. The whole flight was at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle except for one rocket vertical. Inverted flight required almost no down elevator.
My plane was balanced about one inch ahead of Rich's setting. I did this because my tanks are further aft than his and it came out about right. The amount of up elevator trim was about the same that Rich has on his. At half flap the trim returned to neutral. When I went to full flap and crow the plane slowed a lot and as I took my thumb off of the stick to get some down trim it stalled and wanted to just fall out of the sky. My timer had already gone off so I elected to land with half flap. I knew it was going to float and sure enough I decided to go around on the first approach. On the next one I went to Idle on the downwind and made a very long flat approach from far out. That worked but it still landed past me. The landing was gentle and on the center line of course LOL.
Concerning the gear, I had smoothed out the axle in a drill with sand paper as Rich had suggested. During a quick taxi test the wheels locked up solid. The wheels had to be taken apart and worked on with a file to get them rolling again. It would be nice if they used oil-lite bearings instead of plain brass bushings. At least the retracts worked and the gear doors worked perfectly. The doors and brakes are on a separate air system from the gear.

For the second flight I wanted to test the full flap/crow trim mix I programmed to see if it would work for dropping it in at my home field. It would be impossible to make that long flat approach in the direction most used at that field. It was getting late which means the sun is in a very bad spot this time of year at the Nighthawks. I figured to stay at one end of the field to stay away from the sun.
After taking off and making the first turn I was headed toward the sun and decided to fly under it and turn back. Well, I must have pulled a little too hard trying to avoid it as the plane entered a high speed stall and departed. I relaxed and almost recovered but I was too low and it went into the trees. CENSORED EXPLETIVES HERE
It felt like someone kicked me in the stomach. Besides the Flash flaming out and going in the trees two seasons ago, I haven't had a crash like this since about 1983 ha. It doesn't feel any better when it's my fault either
So Dolphin #2 is no more. The good news is that the engine and most of the gear are in good shape. The plane was in four pieces in the trees. Last night we were able to recover one wing and the tail section using a bow and arrow and fishing line before running out of light. This tree is about 90ft tall with no branches to climb!!
Oh, and the wife told me to buy another one. She said I was only human and not perfect. I didn't argue with her ... this time

Catherine sent a photo of a custom paint scheme for the Dolphin.
So it looks like if it is a scheme that has been done by FB then it might not be an issue.
I don't know if there is any price adders, or additional lead times, I would assume so.

I should have the manual done by then.
I also made cutout templates for the servo horn slots and the control horn slots in the stab and fin
They are based on the Hi-Tec HS-7955TG servos so they might have to be adjusted slightly if you use another brand.

Nice. I already have my radio stuff. JR 8711s for elev and flaps, rudder and 8411s for the ailerons. RX is a JR 1221 with 2 A123s. Your templates will still be valuable as the servo size will be very close. Looking forward to getting this thing and starting on it.

Excellent question:
Push rods and ball links are great; however, that being said they provide ball links for both sides of the push rod.
What that would mean is:
A - you would have to use longer servo arms to stick up past the hatch, this of course reduces the torque of the servo significantly. To counter this you would have to open up the slots in the wing hatches in order to clear the ball link and the bolt head, this really isn't an option as the hatches and supporting structure are not big enough.
B - Use Sullivan Golden Clevises on the servo arm end
