The main wheel diameter is in post #1 of this thread, I see I didn't publish the nose wheel diameter, I will need to measure and post that.

As far as Electric retracts, FB has stated they will provide as an option; however; I do not have any experience with them.

No problem, let me know if you need additional help, I am currently putting on the finishing touches for the manual that FB will publish on their site.

I ordered a Dolphin through Jet Central and wanted to make sure I had the parts in hand to finish when I return to the US in April. I live most of the time time in Hong Kong. I like the Intairco electric brakes and wheels but they do not make a 4 1/4 inch main, only 4 and 4.5 so probably need to make some measurements once the airframe arrives. Again thanks for the help.

Hope to hear from Eric any day that mine is ready to ship. I got a smoke system for it and an now looking for a light system. Looking at Unilight but an worried about the heat generated by the high power lights. Any suggestions?

The 4" wheels would work fine

Tom the Unilight system looks great, they have built in heat sinks so it should not be an issue

The lights that the URL linked to was for 2.1 meter, is this ok for the Dolphin? They sell a set for a 2.6 meter plane. Thanks

Yes you would want to get the longer leads for the Dolphin, sorry about the link, I was just trying to say I believe the heat sinks should be sufficient.

Say Rich, do you know if the production model will have nose gear doors? I know the main gear inner doors have been deleted but was wondering about the nose doors.....thanks

Catherine has not sent me recent photos of the production models.
However if it the same as the Dolphin S then the answer is no, it is a cut out.

Update, Catherine send photos of the factory supplied fuel tanks, trailing link retracts, and the new fuselage and wing LG wheel wells without gear doors.

The view of the center section wheel wells shows the hatch cover in place on the left side of the photo and the cover removed on the rights side.
With the cover removed you can also see the CF reenforced rib sections that was suggested for the LG mounting.

That should now stand up to my style of landings.... I have been called Maj. Slammer Lander by some!

I can confirm that the lights are made for our aircrafts, so the heat generation is fine for usual flight times 6-10 minutes but not for exhibition long time use. The cheaper standard parts has a heatsinks attached, the high power "x2" versions have also temperature fuses included and protects the light and the plane in case of misuse :-)
