KIngtech 210 Arrives
Yesterday was a good day ! My long awaited Kingtech 210. Serial number 001 got to my workshop. Its a jewel. The machined compressor and some other small changes have really improved the look and feel of the turbine over previous KT's ( Not that there was anything wrong with them, but this is a noticeable step up ) The same usual simple clean install aspects that we have become accustom to.
I know that some people are going to, and are already taking potshots at the fact its got my signature on it. The simple fact is. I am not too fussed. When Kingtech approached me with the idea. I had no hesitation in committing to it. I knew that there would be haters out there, but thats just the nature of the hobby it seems. I have used a number of different brands over the years, and worked with some of the big manufactures. I have never, ever had anything close to the consistent reliability from one manufacture. Added to this. I have never received the level of service that I have with KT. Thats not me ragging on other brands ( Before this all greets started ) Thats me saying that I am so happy with the product and the back up of Kingtech. That I am more than proud to be associated with their product, any way that I can.
Now that bits over, and before the usual RCU fun and games begins…. I need to decide what to fit this to. With my move to the USA going on. I am in a bit of a staled state when it comes to new jets in the build right now. I may just fit it to my 50% Scale fox acro glider as this is a quick way to get it in the air and an ideal test and demo platform. However. The turbine itself is so pretty, and especially with the serial number of 001 I am tempted to just put it in a glass case
Whichever way I travel. I will try to keep you guys updated. I have to admit, I am more inclined to update other aspects of social media. Not only do they get more coverage. They seem to have less haters!
Regards Al

Ali. The single aspect of this hobby that puts me off is the 'haters' as you put it. So much mindless vitriol and aggression. As for the KT210 - looks fantastic along with the Merlin 200! All for the same weight and size as a 160! Advances seem to be accelerating. Exciting times.

At some point I'll have to give KT a try. Looking forward to hearing what the long term experience is from 210 fliers. The price is right and we hear nothing but good feedback from Barry and his teams service turnaround time.
And I would not worry about people complaining about a signature... Some people will think it's fine, some people will think it's silly. It all comes down to engine performance and reliability.

Looks great mate congratulations, I'd have nothing but pride if a company asked to put my name on anything (not that they would) regardless of what anyone else thinks, jealously is a terrible mistress!

So Ali, when you became famous, did you have to hire a designer to reinvent the signature?
If I ever put my horrible doodle on any piece of equipment, value would go down immediately, even if I were the inventor of the cure for cancer!!!!!
Now seriously... I was playing with dantleys 210 yesterday and looks awesome! congrats!
