Wim do you know what the four 4x4inch thin G10 plates are for and did you have to glue any carbon control horns into you slat to attach the servo rods? I am missing the hardware pack on my kit and im not sure what all is in it. I know the rudder control horns were and I dont see any place to attach something to the slats so im guessing you add two to each slat., yours is looking great whens the maiden?

Hey mick did your cockpit come with a back piece that goes aft of the back seat to cover the flat wood ply the air cylinder connects to?

Keith,

I didn't us those plates, but I guess they could be used as shims. My kit did indeed come with the plastic plate to cover the rear of the cockpit.
you do indeed have to glue in the horns on the slats, 2pcs per slat. same as the rudder horns.

Maiden of mine wil be somewhere in march or april, depending on the weather... working on esthscale details now, and some minor mods....

March or April??!?!?! Wooh! That's a while!

Wim, any advise on the slat horn installation or is it pretty straight forward (No pun intended)?

Fender here are some photos of what I did on my slats. Also a picture of the rear plastic for the cockpit. The one on the left is the one that came with the cockpit.

Like the details Wim. The camera lense is a good touch. Will have to do something there on mine now.

haha, I just took a piece of transparent plastic from a Futaba servo box, and cut that to size. openend up the front of the pod, and than I used a sanding drum on the dremel to grind away at the inside.......just painted the inside black, and glued in the plastic, presto!!! nice touch, and only takes a little time....

Hey Muzz do your missile rails under the wings point out a little? I was thinking they do but the aft mount hole on mine doesnt give any kind of outward angle. Did you change yours or is that stock?

Mine face straight forward. You could change the angle by elongating the rear mounting hole in the fuselage slightly. Or redrilling it if need be, I suppose. Mine came drilled straight.

Thanks Muzz I figured it was just an illusion. I'm going to add a plastic lens to my nose pod as well.

I have too now. Wim is too many extras ahead of me. It is going to be difficult to catch up this late in the game. Vents, pitots and now a camera.......And they look great!!! Great work Wim, I am jealous as hell.
