Hey wim, where exactly did you balance your jet? The picture is misleading, it looks like they balanced forward of the swing wing mechanices instead of having the wire pushed back against the swing wing mechanics. Also how did you find the center point for your stabs? Looks good glad is flew good, you mentioned wing incidence did you swing the wings?

Keith,

mine is balanced about 1.5 cm ahead of the front spar, no lead added. looks like a good starting point. I'll have to look into the neutral point, I had to trim up from there, but it's not a reference since mu wing incicende was off.....

Keith,

the throws seem to be right, for as far as I have been able to "feel" the plane, we had our hands full trimming it out..... I will probably lower the expo though.

Wim, I've just realised you fly at the Pampa Jets field, I have been there three times, probably means we have met?

Mick,

I did the maiden there, and i've been to jets over Pampa a few times, but i'm not a member there yet, but i have applied for membership. it probably one of the only fields in Belgium where I'll be able to fly this beast, at least till I feel more confident with it....

Woo Haa just completed my CAA exemption test flights that's 60 minutes airtime with numerous manoeuvres including today, 2minutes+ with the wings swept. It does need more pitch control and less roll control compared to normal flight + a few clicks of up trim.

I'll contribute to that Keith, the sharing of information costs nothing, I'll get some statistics written down.

Well, finally after a long wait, last week my Skymaster F-14 Tomcat was delivered to me! It came in two large boxes, well packaged and protected, and it made the journey undamaged, phew!!!
