Default Spektrum counterpart to JR 8411

Anybody know what servo you would replace a 8411 with if you wanted to go Spektrum ?? The have changed all the numbers and discontinued a lot of their stuff and have new stuff. .. LOST....

Thanks,

Dan

The A6260HV looks comparable: http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...odId=SPMSA6260

Having great results with 6260 Spektrum servos... stronger than an 8411 and HV compatible too.

Why replace the worlds most used jet servo? There is a reason its stayed in the JR range as long as it has...

More power, HV compatible, less money.... Plus they're supported by Horizon here in the States....

I've always had good luck with the 8411's, but even better with 8611a's. The gears seem to wear much faster on the 8411's. What has been your experience Dave ?

Thanks for all the input. I used to know all the servo numbers and kept up with them. I just seem to have missed the latest round of changes and new servos coming in. I think I got a handle on it now.

Thanks again,
Dan

I find metal geared JR servos in Jets bed in quickly and stay constant. A small amount of gear play does not bother me at all with digital servos. Free running cool, the gears will expand when hot and the current is still going to be low.
In the UK I sell bundles of 8411 and 8911 servos, returns are near zero. Price of servo Verses price of model, its a no brainer. I've sell a few percent of Spektrum servos compared with JR and although the servos seem OK, my returns on Spektrum are high on a lot less sold.

Its a personal thing, there are no really bad servos from the main brands, though I'd never fit a hitec servo to any of my own models.

I know someone running Spektrum 6150 ( a HV servo ) ... Any comments or feedback on this servo ?? He seems to like it.

I've used the A6150 HV servos - a great option when you don't need the power of a 8411. They do make slightly more gear noise when moving though but I haven't had any problem with them.
I've also used the 8411HV servos in an Avanti and these develop significantly more power than the old 8411s and are compatible with the HV systems that are now much more common...
I agree with you Dave on the reliability of the 8411s and also the lack of with Hitec servos.
