Default Mounting a Jet Central Rabbit

Hi Guys, this is a rookie question. This is my first jet and I am about to mount the engine. What size bolt/blind nut combination should I use to mount the engine to the fuse (4-40, 6-32, 8-32)? Many thanks. Chic

Its not critical, but I usually use either 6-32 or 4-40.

4-40 is more than enough

Yep...

Little bolts are fine. Unlike a piston engine... there's no torque, or vibration to fight. Just a nice smooth push, and a steel 4-40 bolt can handle 20 lbs of pressure.

LOL...I'm using 4-40 on my 40 Lb Rhino, the plywood mounts will rip out before the bolt shears

Appreciate the lesson gentlemen, you have all been very helpful. Wish there was a well written tutorial. When you check the manuals for all the available engines, they all generally say the same thing, "Mount the engine or bracket with the enclosed metric screws (may or may not indicate M4) or bolts". Again, thanks. Chic
