Got the 140Rx running enough for a few flights. All went well. I have to adjust lateral balance a bit but it flew well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEvxbEJA7uI

The text at the bottom of your video says Jetlegend F16

Out of curiosity, how come you don't call it a BVM F-16? Or maybe a BVM/Jetlegend F16?

I did not make the video, it is my jet. I would agree that BVM PNP F16/Jet Legend would be most accurate.

I know people keep making a big deal about this and don't want this to get heated. Just curious what mods does BVM do
over the standard JL G2 kit?

use the analogy above
first hand i have seen both together
pnp and g2 jet legend
not much almost nothing
g2 can be ordered for much less
it is a jet legend g2 with lipstick

if you need further clarification you can call a dodge a dodge all you want
it is still a CHRYSLER

this circle isnt just in rc jets it is also in cars some of your mercedez benz are actual chryslers
lol sorry made by chrysler

Gotcha

thought the video may have been from someone who isn't fond of the merger.

Having access to parts and support is no gimmick its a money maker and is why BVM excels and the local jetlegend reps don't have an F16 to sell anymore. So please feel free to make a new thread about how you dislike BVM and keep this thread on the BVM F16 please thanks.

Cigartoyz they are the same plane accept for the balanced stabs improved landing gear parts and ordinance that's now drilled with a jig so you can actually install it unlike the jet legend version where it looks like a 2 year old drilled the holes that are not even close to lining up.

If they are so much alike. Let me ask you this, does the JL kit come with all the servos installed with the extensions wired in? Does it have the complete air system installed and hooked up ready to operate? Does it have the complete Fuel system plumbed minus the UAT ready to run. Does it have all the lights hooked up and working. And can you have a JL f-16 up and ready to fly in less than 2 days!!!!

Please answer these questions.

I don't think you could buy all of these items and have someone assemble them into the plane for this kind of price.

This is just my opinion.

if you ask for it yes it does come with all you listed even their own spark turbine if you want, the lights, controller, air valves all come from JL and work great and it feels better knowing you did not over pay for them, and do you really think JL are not going to supply all it's wings drilled with the same template now they know what people want? I don't think bvm have a patent on hole drilling in the correct place.

Well when my ordinance was drop shipped from jetlegend it was not even close to working out. I had to spend many hours filling the holes in with hysol and drilling new holes and then repainting the all the rails. Since that problem has been fixed because BVM actually gives a crap to make things right and jetlegend just lets the end user deal with it. BVM is the one making jetlegend come up to a better standard and not half ass things.

For what it's worth...can someone please post a pic of a Jet Legend F-16 being manufactured at the Jet Legend aircraft factory? I believe this should settle many issues.

Both versions are good, quality jets...one is a bit sturdier and more scale correct than the other. It's really not a big deal. Do you want a Ford...or the Lincoln version?

B

In the near future, I will be buying the BVM F-16 pnp.
I don't mind paying more for top quality workmanship.
While BVM has made Jet Legend a better company, I'd still rather get the jet from BVM with the BVM "quality of approval stamp." It's just better.

Does anyone know (Dustin?) if the metal servo arm will fit a JR spline?

Thanks

It's a futaba spline. If you use a JR servo you'll need to swap out the arm.

And what do they charge for all that (but not the silly spark turbine)?

I opened up the gun port for a more scale appearance.

Here is a pic all fueled ready to fly showing the new stance with new main springs and a weaker nose spring with the correct F16 ride height. Some have said I would have problems rotating. Well with the gear on the F16 being so close to the CG I knew they didn't know what they are talking about. So the 10 gallons of fuel I burnt yesterday in the F16 says I was right flies great and no problem rotating.
