So are there two factory lines, one for JL guys and one for BVM?? Does BVM rework ALL these problems at their shop? In other words they get the bad plane from JL and then have to rework the plane to sell them as BVM?? or are all of them made by JL with BVM specs?? Just curious... An BTW JL does have a PNP version of F-16 for 1200.00 less than BVM

BVM is the one making jetlegend come up to a better standard and not half ass things.

I fly mine with full ordnance ... if anyone needs the Xicoy CG machine settings that I use I'd be happy to share.

I was successful out of the gate with it last year because Greg Arnette (BVM Rep) had many flights in this configuration during the PNP development at BVM and shared his learnings with me. Around 75 flights on it now.

If BVM is the exclusive dealer for the JL F-16 they should support the product where ever it is purchased. Again its not a BVM product but a JL product. Really sucks you gotta pay that extra couple THOUSAND dollars for a manual, minor upgrades and their "support". Dont get me wrong i love BVM and THEIR OWN PRODUCTS. But bottom line is this is not their product and they should support the aircraft from whom ever itnis purchased. When purchasing one of these toys, which is really what it is. A couple thousand dollars may not be alot for some people but for most its ALOT of money. With the difference in price between JL's pnp version vs BVM i can purchase everythimg else i need to get the plane in the air. Ie radio, powerbox if used, batteries, shoot for the difference in price you can almost purchase the turbine itself if you were able to aquire the aircraft at JL's price. Totally unfair IMO

Johnny9390, now you are sounding like a spoiled little brat. Have you ever heard of Capitalism? If BVM wants to charge more for a mirrored kit, then let them. Obviously, if nobody bought this kit they would either discontinue w/ BVM or drop the price. If you dont like it, then you can go start up your own company and show BVM how to improve their successful business model.

Anyone flying their PNP F-16 without the bypass? Mine does not fit together very well and I was thinking of not using it. Or maybe just using the bottom part.

Thanks,

Bob Neal

Hey Bob
I don't think most guys are but could be wrong. Its pretty darn small for most engines. Even the Kingtech 140 is tight, I'm sure others will chime in soon.

No bypass. I did trim the bottom bypass on the kingtech F16 with a K180 so it is fitted and left the top half off. I like the bottom on just so the turbine does not drip anything and make a mess on the landing gear.

So you guys are still liking this kit, eh? Seriously considering the BVM kit. Is the wiring and are the servos etc holding up ok???

Been scheming... planning a JETI system with a PowerBox Mercury. Anyone running similar? Would you pull the sequencer and use the radio to sequence and the JETI pressure sensor for the tememtry and gear low-pressure Failsafe?

Anything else you'd change or pull out and replace with JETI?

Running all stock in the kingtech F16 accept made smoke tanks fuel and installed a separate air tank and fill valve for the brakes so they can use a lower pressure then gear.

Mine's getting a JetCat P-180RXi, PowerBox Mercury SRS with twin Futaba telemetry rx's and one smoke oil tank converted to fuel. It's Thunderbird trim and as a friend told me when I was going to convert both smoke oil tanks to fuel "who ever heard of a Thunderbird without smoke?". He had a point.... lol

Mine won't be flown with a bunch of ordinance hanging off it and while the included smoke pump may be okay, mine's getting the PB turbine smoke pump. Other than that, it'll all be stock.

My F-16 is all setup stock and will stay that way unless I hear otherwise, seems many are getting lots of flights with no issues, seems good to go to me. I have an AMT Netherlands Pegasus HP going in.
