You can't blame HK for sending orders the cheapest way possible. These days everyone is after the cheapest product they can find and they don't stop to think why the stuff is so cheap.

This is why they they can offer cheap products.

CHEAP products that are inferior in quality and workmanship - As such are more likely to fail.
CHEAP service and product support - They don't spend money on this so the buyer can get a cheaper product.
CHEAP shipping - Takes longer and may not arrive at the destination.

If you buy cheap, you get cheap. EVERYTHING.

Everyone that buys off HK knows this, so why moan about it when it happens. You take your chances.

But if you read the first post, this thread belongs on a postal system forum not RCU as it's not a RC problem. It's a shipping problem.

Buying from HK is like going to a casino.

You win some, you lose some. But at the end of the day, the house always wins.

Forget the bad shipping etc.... the story I want to know is about the reps not paying for their vendor space?

Swiss Post is a great mail system. Hong Kong Post is a great system. International Airmail is a great shipping system. The United States postal system, priority mail is a great system. We can check the status of any order using the tracking numbers provided by Hobby King IN OUR U. S. POSTAL SYSTEM. Keeping that in mind, the stuff we are ordering is coming from 7,000 miles away, most people click on the least expensive shipping method, batteries now carry a surcharge and are carefully inspected, and sometimes the stuff gets here from Hong Kong in 14 days. Not quite sure I can understand how much faster someone thinks their order should get here. Especially when it says orders may take an abnormally longer time than we are used to. I balance the tremendous bargains with the delay. Just the lipos alone are worth the wait.. The very same lipos that are produced in China, re-branded here, and maybe soldered here, and are 3-4X the price.

I buy American when I can. Horizon is great as middle-men for the stuff produced in China. So is Tower. I've ordered from all of them for decades. The LHS guys in my lifetime are hobbyists who wanted to make their hobby their business. It rarely works. Think about it.... how can they possibly compete on a large scale and be profitable.

Where does that leave me ? 130$ out of pocket and the victim of some sort of offshore fraud so please don't come on here with your smug attitude saying that this is a stupid thread. It is a group of people sharing experiences and trying to get some closure on the problems that that we have in common.
First of all, when ordering from Paypal, there is no protection against not received goods, as they tell you to go directly to the store, you should know that but I guess you tried to save the Credit card commission, so that's what you get.

Second, when someone says "Never buy from Hobbyking" because it had a bad experience, after thousands of people buying there, me having over 30 different orders through about 5 years it automatically classifies a thread as stupid to me, again, it is extremely stupid to ME,if someone thinks I called him stupid I am sorry, but I am referring to the thread itself not to any specific person . And I do have a smug attitude?, you do for sure.....

There are folks that will order parts, then claim they did not receive them and get their money back from Paypal. Then they sell the item on Ebay.
I bet this has happened a few times to HK.
So HK's strategy is to delay your complaints until its past the Paypal 45 day limit.
Where HK is wrong is using a shipping Co that is known to lose things.

I didn't know that about the eBay issue , but the thing is in my case, I placed an order from an Austrian manufacturer, I never got what I paid for, after months of trying to get them to respond I contacted Paypal, and they responded to me they could not refund my money as I did not get what I ordered, they said I needed to get the money back from the store directly, eventually I did get it back from them about $450 and 8 months later, but Paypal washed their hands on it, never got any help from Paypal.

That's why you lodge a claim at 40 days. It doesn't matter how much they try to delay, you can still lodge a claim with PayPal.

That's why the shipping is cheap.

Talk to the kids on your street that probably have the package and make an offer.

I have the same problem, ordered parts in the begging of June from the overseas warehouse (US Warehouse didn't stock) , the tracking number shows it is in NJ.... I guess someone in NJ is enjoying my parts that I paid for

Bottom line is, I guess you need to pony up for the higher price shipping, then that takes the price advantage away!

I will say I never had an issue with shipping from the US warehouse using Priority mail.

About the customer support system at HK...it is non existent in my opinion, you get some clown to reply to your e-mail stating that shipping takes time and then they close out your ticket....

Same here, my heli parts are in NJ, according to the tracking info. I see lots of people having the same problems, so no more orders from China for me.
Of courser most people choose the cheapest shipping option, saving some money is the whole purpose of buying form HK.

I might buy from their US warehouse. And the more people do the same, the more they have to stock up the shelves here...

UK dating convention (and I assume Hong Kong) is different to the US in that the day is usually stated first, then the month, then the year. It looks to me like they opened a case on the 1st August and they are asking you to wait 30 days.

That is correct, in fact most of the world uses the DMY format, The USA, Belize and a few small Pacific Islands are the few countries who use MDY exclusively.

Ncsky, here's the back story on them skipping out on paying. HK reps with their school bus and vendor tent attended the WOD four day event in July in Delaware. I was there on Saturday and saw their space on vendor row and their reps walking around and shooting video. According to my friends who run the event and have for at least a decade; is that all vendors had a fee to pay for attending the event and having a place on vendor row and they didn't pay, they also promised to donate items to the raffle and nothing was given from them. Everyone else paid but them and those that promised to donate did except HK.
