Well, I just placed my initial order for the electronics...

Dreamworks comes through as always with amazing customer service!!! Now, the waiting process begins!!!

Falcon, nothing there on the previous link...
I like to use Lipos and I am still undecided, so better now than later... Customs here in El Salvador can be a pain in the rear, so I might as well keep a few things in stock...
I strayed away from the old rc PCM/FM equipment a long time ago...

Guys, its back to the build again... This time I have a quick question... Has anyone of you run a JR 8911HV off @6V? Or would you rather recommend using a JR 8411 @6V...

Un gusto!!! We fly behind Residencial Pasatiempo, Lourdes, Colon. We have a concrete runway measuring 140m x 12m which was recently inaugurated...
It would be a pleasure if you could accompany us while your here. Our flying days are normally saturday and sunday during the morning hours of the day...

F-16 is behind schedule due to lack of responsibilities and compromise from Skymaster. Sorry to say, but they have yet to deliver what they promised. First it was late Oct, then they said it would be ready by mid Oct, then they said late Oct again. I then later asked John about my plane and he has failed to answer, so I asked Anton, and he apologized for the delay and said that by Monday (hopefully next week), that the airplane would be shipped. I will keep you posted on the status of the airplane...

I've joined the party too, perhaps a little late. I picked up this bird last week, it has a P70 mid mount and has never been flown, I will be going over it this winter and hoping to maiden in the spring (or if I get a wild hair and a nice day this winter!). This is my first turbine, I've been flying EDF's a bunch recently and couldn't resist this F16.
Can anyone recommend a good plane to train on for this F16? I was thinking a 1/12 tamjets EDF would be good but I'm open to any other ideas. I'm currently flying a Habu 32 with JF80 and E-flite F4 on stock power...

Ace, glad to see you decided on the F16!!! Welcome aboard!!! Besides flying Boomerangs and a few Modellbau USA aircraft (which are incredible) like the MB339 and the Tornado, my F16 (which I am still waiting for delivery) is my first true scale project... I have read and heard from fellow modellers that there is no bad habits on this airplane and they do make great first turbine projects... I hope that within the next few weeks I will be able to post more info on my build as well as my first flight!!!
Have you thought of maybe purchasing a Boomerang Sprint where you can install the P70 on? Turbines are far more different than EDFs... The delay time between giving the command to spool up or spool down is the one issue I recommend you get used to... EDFs and props have almost immediate response, something that is not there but getting better in turbines now days.

Man if you could get your hands on a Cermark F-16 that would be ideal, but the SM flies really good.If someone qualified helps you, you may not need another training airframe.
My concern is the P-70. They have a pretty bad lag as I remember. On final, if you bring it too hot you will bounce or overshoot during flare, if you come too slow, it will drop pretty quickly. With the P70, try to stay on the conservative side, dont slow it down too much.
You will love this airframe! The Edwards Scheme looks good in the air.

Funny that you should say the Cermark, I was looking at one (online) in Ohio with a P70 as well. I passed on it because it had quite a few flights on it and I thought the Cenmark design was a little older. I opted to spend a little extra to get the SM because they are still in production and parts are still available where as Cermark is out of business.
I was thinking of programming my current EDF's with a throttle delay to practice, I don't think it could hurt! There is a turbine friendly field not far from me and I've met some people in the area with turbines so I will have to get hooked up with one of them to get their opinion on my sorting. I'll try to get a picture of my electro board and turbine instal later, its pretty clean and tightly packaged. CG is set too but I forget how it was done, I'll have to refer to my setup manual when I get home.

She is finally here!!! Will be posting images soon!!! One observation... I order the combo pack of SAVOX 1256TG (6) and I have just realized that these servos dont fit in the rudder installation nor the ailerons... Would really like to know which servos you are using in your F16's...
