Bob,
I just measured the retract units.
Nose = Behotec C40-R

Measured (hole to hole center) 38mm x 28mm
Mains = Behotec C50-B

Note: these are fire wall mount style which I measured (hole to hole center) to be 50mm x 30mm. About 8mm shorter than the standard C50 dims.

HI All, I just wanted to chime in on this build if that's alright? I'm building this jet for a friend of mine and started on it just days ago. It has all the C/F struts and all the lightest components. I will post some pics of what I have done at this point later tonight.
Thank you Billy D

The J-10 at BITW had the light weight struts, but didn't have the tires shown on CARF's site. I think they picked a smaller diameter tire to help fit in the fuselage easier and make the jet sit lower to the ground. See photos.
Billy, yes please post photos your progress. Would be very helpful.

HI All, Here is a update to my build. Everything is going good at this point just waiting for the turbine to show up. Once I receive it I will get all the trust vectoring rods installed. Please stay tuned for more updates!!
Thanks Billy D

I should have the P-180 next week sometime and I will see if I can help. I have some New carbine fiber boards that might just do the trick on making mounts! I will have them on my site tomorrow.

Looks like you are going to need to cut the tumble tube back about 20mm. The tab to attach the push rod look like it will be long enough after cutting the tube back. Looking at some of the pictures in the manual I think they had to do the same thing. The edge closest to the turbine exhaust nose is uneven in the photos like it was cut with a Dremel. I will test fit my turbine and tumble tube and see what kind of spacing I have and post my finds soon.

Engine mount rails are 8 inches with the pivot point of the tumble tube slightly less that 7 1/2 inches.
I test fit my turbine and pipe. My pipe does not need modification. It was manufactured to the right size (length).
Did you have to make the shims to center the turbine with the tumble tube or did they come with the kit. I didn't check.
