Hi guys
I can highly recommend an evojet 220ex turbine. It fits perfect and if you wish you can start with a thrust of 180N and end up with 220N (update per code). It is absolutely worth the money, no issues also after many ours runtime. The concept is great and also the quality. The update option is absolutely unique and benefits the rc-pilot.

I did order a B220ex turbine (220N) for my J10 for a few weeks ago, hopefully it will arrive soon.
Did you install the pump in the front ? did you use 4mm fuel-line from the pump al the way to the turbine ?
I need the long engine leads (120cm) right ?

If the JetCat 220 is the same size as the old 200, you're going to have problems with the mounts being wide enough and CG. Mine needed nose weight with a Kingtech 210.

The 220 is a different engine to the 200...in every way!
It is 5mm bigger in dia than the 180, and a chunk heavier with the welded case, generator system etc, but I'm sure you can rig the J-10 with everything as far forward as possible and get it balanced. The extra 50N of thrust would need handling!

Hi all, I'm seriously considering on of these, probably with a Merlin 200. I really wanted an F-16, but I'm moving to a place with short runways and more of a 3D guy anyway. A few questions:
1) General impression vs Eurosport?
2) Is the carbon gear nice and strong?
3) Any drawbacks/regrets?

the general impression is awesome but it depends on the intention you have with your jet. The maneuverability is impressive.
the carbon gear is nice but not need to have. Do not buy Behotec. The one from Airtech is much better, it has a 8mm bolt to connect hte nose gear. Behotec is too heavy.
because of the lightweight it is recommendet to use a gyro. the plane is stable in the air but looks aweful it shakes like a "leave"... :-)
To have a scale model like an f-16 is also a great option but scale flying is a totally different thing than making the 3d maneuvers with the j-10. Up on you.

You mean it looks awful without a gyro? I'd probably use a powerbox Mercury for the 6 axis gyro... 2 channels for wing, 2 for nozzle, 1 for rudder.
I'm a giant scale 3D guy so I figured this would be more fun. Looks like it does both speed and 3D well.

wind impacts the jet and then it looks like a funflyer up in the air and not like a stable jet. Orientation is simple due to the huge rudder. Mine was on preorder and has the blue/white color scheme.

Visibility isn't really an issue in the air with the blue/white scheme. But if you have a smoke system installed like I do then sometimes the smoke will block your view in the air during hard maneuvers (spins) or hovering (vertical) with a tail slide. Flew three times this weekend with the newly applied graphics and I'm really enjoying this jet. I don't have the carbon fiber gear, but the jet still has plenty of power with the extra weight on a P-180RXi. I don't fly it with gyros, I find that this jet is very forgiving and extremely maneuverable and stable with the use of the canard, thrust vectoring and big control surfaces.

Can't find air tech gear for the J-10 listed. Is it a direct bolt-in? I had a bad experience with 3rd party gear on last jet... nose cylinder wouldn't fit, nose strut was too long, and main struts were too short.
