Why is RCU so SLOOOOWWWWWW
Is it just me? Every time I want to change a page or add a picture or edit a post... It seems to take forever to load and sometimes it wont load at all, and says its an internal server problem 500. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. Have we gone back to last year when it took forever to load a page? Dont even think about clicking on a thumbnail.. xmass will come sooner
I have extreme high-speed and non of the other sites are effected/infected

Can't even load it on my Iphone and it BARELY loaded in Firefox tonight. My lord why can't they use the same boards as RC Groups which is vastly superior in every...single...way...

My Feedback: (349)
Improvements I've noticed with the new system ...
1) Website crashes almost as much as it did with the old system.
2) When it does crash, the down time is less.
Similarities ...
1) Just as slow as ever.
New behaviors ...
1) Many times, when I click to go to the next page or post a reply, the webpage is "unrecoverable." That being, I get a message at the bottom of my screen that reads, "Cannot recover webpage/website."
Every other website I go to loads fast.

Can they also fix the link in the forums? Every time I visit a forum and want to return to the RCU home page I click on the RCU Globe "top left" and it does nothing now. This started about a month ago when they updated the top of the page. I have to leave RCU completely, and then return. Very annoying.

I have reported this to the techs.
Ken who has a fast connection and myself who does not, are not seeing any slowdown or getting DB errors.
It would help us if you gave times and hardware/software details as some of the above reports have done.

All aspects are slow for me - loading pages - loading images. Using Windows 7. It has become noticeably worse and, frankly, I'm at the point where I just don't have the patients to wait.

It is the site, not the network speed. I have a fast connection, and most other sites are much faster. Slowness is most irritating when paging through multiple photos in a post.
Presumably it is an issue around compute, storage or network issues within the site/hosting environment itself. While I understand this is an economic tradeoff for the owners, it would be nice to at least see this site to be average in its performance, and it is clearly not. This sort of thing creates a friction that, with a good alternative, will drive users away. I am sure the site management knows that and is making a calculation on what we will tolerate.

Same for me, but it does seem to be sporadic ie sometimes it is fairly quick but it does at times become frustrating waiting for a page to load, as for trying to look at images posters have downloaded I hardly ever bother now because I know it will take forever, all other forums that I belong to put RCU to shame with their fairly rapid response.

Gimme a break on "what hardware are you using". Any computer from now back to 7 years ago should work perfectly fine unless the user is using Dialup. The website is terrible these days.

yep, much slower then any other site. And if you click on the RcUniverse globe, it takes you to the forums page. It's been like this for quite a while.
Not much going on here since the last 'update'. IB must not care about this site.
