A big thank you from Hamburg
The Hamburg crew would like to thank all the flyers who made the trip despite less than ideal weather. Also, with the no fly zones imposed by the Township, it made flying a little more restricted than usual, but there was no drama at all caused by this. I commend 1 and all!
Some new faces made an appearance, such as RcPete347 from Canada and Paul LaTourneau from Wisconsin, among others, which was really great! And the return of Jim Brown who did an excellent job all weekend despite complaining about the cold weather here in Northeast Pennsylvania!
To Don Desandre, I really wanted to see that Hawk fly, such a gorgeous airplane with the All-Scale cockpit and animated pilots. But, with the crosswind blowing at 20-25, it was a smart move not to fly it and I respect your decision. And thank for texting me the picture of me standing with the blonde while I was eating dinner with my wife!
The Long Island Crew had to leave early but as usual it was a pleasure to watch Mark and Russ fly the bevy of airplanes they brought. Mark, you do a fantastic job!
The Malcione's, along with Paul Latourneau, Scott Geller and Mike Lesher put on show after show with their A-10's. Sometimes 4 at a time! Superb!
Also, many thanks to the Farview crew who do so much work before, during and after these events. For you I am truly grateful.
With a little luck, next year our flyover zones and neighbor problems will be history, but again, thank you to all who came to enjoy flying RC jets with us at Farview.
Again, thank you to all and hope to see you soon!

Hey Don,
Yeah, it was a tough job, but at least I stepped up and took care of it! The real drama was you getting flashed by Scotty. And I know you snapped a picture!
RcPete, and Don, great pictures, especially of the A10s and the respective pilots. Just awesome!
RcPete, we are looking forward to seeing you next year too. Thank you for the kind words. I apologize for not spending time with you but I am looking forward to doing so on your next trip.

Jim, as usual our group had a great time. Even with the weather issues I got in another 20 flights with the big Turbinator before we left today during the event. We even got home in time to see almost all of the Orioles game YEA! You guys know how much I love my O's and gave up the first two games of the playoffs to be there this past weekend so that should speak on how great this place and people are to fly at and be with. Bob, Buddy, and Harold didn't fly much but Dillion tore up the sky today with Jimmie as the pit chef. See you guys soon and let me know if we can help out with the township issues in anyway.

Another great event! A big congrats to Jim and the rest of the club's core leadership for pulling off a successful event under challenging circumstances!
Was great to see old friends again, and make a bunch of new ones too! I invited a buddy of mine out Friday and another Saturday with his young nephew, and it's such a great feeling to have them receive such a warm open welcome from the participants at one of the Hamburg events! As great as the flying site and planes are, its the people that really make this place awesome!
The one downside about all the flying and socializing is that I rarely reach for my camera. Fortunately many others were there taking photos and hopefully will upload some here. I'll add some of mine too, but remember this is just a SMALL sampling of the scope of models and fun that happens here. If you have never made the trip to Hamburg, PA make sure you make plans to in August or October next year!!

Thanks to Jim, Lee, Tim, Ed, Terry, Burke and all of the Farview Flyers for another great jet rally! Organizing the event, pulling it off, and working with the neighbors so all of the pilots could enjoy the weekend flying and socializing does not go unnoticed. Thank You!
I was able to meet many new friends and see many old friends before the long Winter hibernation sets in. Thanks for the great photos Sean and Bill.

Jim and the Farview gang did it again. Even with the weather it still was a great event. I only got to be there on Saturday but It was worth the 5+ hour drive. I got in 4 flights on the Hawk and flew my new to me Comp Arf Classic Lighting. Special thanks to Ed Martino for some awesome pictures of my hawk. I will add some shortly.
Shawn you have a Awesome F-16. I love it. If you every decided to build another one i would love have yours.
Mario sorry I missed you again. I can't wait to see your hawk in the skies. Don you have my vote for the best cockpit ever.
I hope to make it back up on a nice weekend soon.

JIM, I wanted to take a moment to thank youand the Farview team for another great Jet event which included the 3rd partyoutside distractions you had to manage as well. You did a stellar job not onlyin running the event but properly conveying and enforcing the need to followthe established operating guidelines and flight limits. All the participatingpilots complied fully and they are to be commended as well in helping to ensure the future and continued use of this facility for our aeromodleing activities.
WELL DONE.
Thank you,
Kerry J. Sterner

Had a great time back at Farview! Yeah, it was chilly at times and even if I am Canadian, I still hate the cold.
Looking forward to next year and hopefully a more expanded air space. I do like to stretch the legs of my jets. ;-) Oh, and sorry about getting the flight guys a bit nervous on that first flight. Turns out I took off with the Cortex at 100% gain due to a bad mix job I did on the TX before getting there. Stupid me for not checking it properly. Lesson learned.

Hi Jim,
All good buddy. Yes, you did make the guys a bit nervous. Looked like the airplane was going to fall out of the sky. But you were in front of the flight line, where you needed to be. Glad it all worked out!
We've already placed the order for warmer weather for next time!
