Being new to the jet side of the R/C community I not sure if I did get to meet Alan. We do love coming up to Farview and I am not sure if we crossed paths but I am sure the he was the super guy to be around. Like most of the great people my wife and I have had the pleasure to meet at the different jet events over the last couple of years.
Our condolences to all the ones that knew him well and will miss him.

the last time i see Alan was in hamburg 2014 in PA , he personally show me the job he did in Don desnadre skygate hawk cockpit , he feel very proud to show me his hard work , we all going to miss him , here is the video that i took this afternoon.

Very sorry to hear about this. I saw him at some jet events but never actually met him.
Its always tough losing rc pilots in the community.

As always, Alan would try to lend a hand whenever he could (pic-1). Because he could build and fix anything, we (pic-2) gave him the name Maaco which he liked to spell Mako. Mako was my Road-Man we put on lots o miles and smiles. We traveled together from the Maine Jet Rally (pic-3) to Florida Jets with stops in between during the years leading up to shortly after the opening of Farview Flyers when we slowed down. His only rule was "we hafta stop at an IHOP! " My salute to you Mako. GONE TOO SOON.
