I would love to be on that list but I haven't heard anything about projected costs.

Some A6 development update, we just finish the computer tests to see how the aircraft will fly, the stall speed, how it will behavior on a 10G load, wing static loads (stress, strain, displacement) this was done using ANSY/FEA so here are some results.

These are the same tests which were done on the Vixen design and she flies nice so your are in for a great treat when this hits the stores, I'm hoping my work on the F84 will get a chance to come to market too soon,

Default A6e Project Status

Caught up with your thread. Fabulous collection of work! You should be either commended or committed...as
the overall airframe is an extreme challenge to replicate and I must say you have done an exceptional job!!

I sent a PM back channel.

Looking for a positive reply!

I wouldn’t waste my time with this if I were you. They disappeared a while ago. They promised all these jets that they were gonna bring out and they took orders and deposits even before the started making kits, then they never made the kits and didn’t tell anyone!
The only jets they claimed to “produce” were literally just Feibo kits with a slightly better paint job. But they made out in the beginning it was them that developed it until they got found out and had to admit it it wasn’t them

Der Jets may have the only A-6 on the market. Check with Eric Clapp, I believe he is a USA dealer for Der Jets products.

Well, we did not disappear we just had our website heavily hacked and destroyed and took some time to recover and still have some problems that we have to address another thing is that we do our jets in OEM at 2 different factories one is Fei Bao, the other is Haikong, they are in different cities of the same state, at FeiBao we use the same mold as they have it but we use different material and different way to do, we are still selling to the international market we are just delivering 2 F100 this week I will post some pictures, now we have stopped our development and for your information we never received any money from customers for the new jets.

I’ve never seen any A-6 actually make it to market and I’ve been watching it since the movie came out. The EA-6B from Der Jet is the only one close. And Freewing’s foamie for the smaller size. Lots of vapor ware and talk but the design is pretty tough to duplicate. I’ll be in line for one when it does make the scene after they’ve proven they can deliver and keep it going

Patrnflyr,

Obviously we are well beyond the vapor gossip point at 1:5.5 ...questions?

By the way, one of our plugs is composed from one of the eight pulled from the "Flight Of The Intruder" movie molds. The FX company for the movie was here in Houston. Those were created in Wiley...not far from you.

Is this one Turbine or simply EDF?

I sure hope so. Many other companies have dragged us A-6 fans along for a long time. Looks like the gear and exhaust outlet seem to be causing the most issues

Default 100% More Thrust Than "The Flight Of The Intruder" 6's...

Accurate scale intakes. 87cm2 ea. (105.61% FSA 110mm EDF) 40# thrust from two Hacker StreamFan-JetFan on 12s.

.................................................. ...................

.................................................. ................

Nice thing is this plane form was flown in the movie with less than 50% of the JetFan 110Pro's thrust (ByroJet) which had no inlet ducting.

.................................................. ..............

Ed, you should bring out your parts to show at the Bomber field event in 2 weeks - to let us ogle them.

Amidst door cutting. Afraid I'll miss this one but may do the deed at our next. I have to stay on target or it won't be viewable at our Scale Shootout. Focus, focus, focus... ;^) Looking forward to Barry flying the maiden. If it were not for his gifting the movie 6 I'd still be looking at my Grumman 6 plots.

Default Replacing Brittle 30 Year Old A-6 Vacuum Formed Parts

Thomas White has contributed to this project by making new vacuum form plugs to save countless hours remaking masters from scratch.

The vacuum forming we had was over 30 years old and brittle. We needed to be sure we did not melt original vacuum formed parts. This
is achieved with metal infused high temp resin poured "into" the original part. The issue is exothermic resin's curing temperature is high.
High enough to melt the original Styrene before resin hardening.

Thomas successfully recreated 90% of the plugs without melting the originals.

.

.
.
The larger images above multiplied 21/2 times come close to actual part size.
