Default New JetsMunt VT-80 BL

Gaspar has done it again.
The amazing VT-80 is now going brushless.

As a reminder, the VT-80 is the most efficient engine on the market and features the best power-to-weight-to-price ratio of all the engines on the market.
This, coupled to impressive reliability figures accumulated for over 3 years, makes it the best engine of the market.

http://www.ultimate-jets.net/blogs/j...ur-application

This amazing piece of equipment is now getting even better with the addition of the brushless pump.
AS a reminder, the benefits of having a brushless pump on our engines coupled with a super fast ECU is that the fuel flow can be metered ulltra rapidly to one pole deviation, this means that the precision off the flow delivered to the engine is to the milliliter.

This new development is not coming as easy as it could appear. The previous pump was brushed, being controlled by power variation. The new brusless pump needs to be controlled pole by pole. This meant the creation of a digital connection to the pump and a new internal ECU board.

The new engine will be in stock at our facility next week and our customers are welcome to pass by to have a look at the new engine.

Thank you Gaspar for improving further the best!

Good Stuff!

I just picked up a brand new M140XBL today and can't wait to get it installed in my Euro. I've already got a M100XBL in my Gryphon EVO and it is a very smooth engine. The VT-80 should be great with the new BL motor setup.

Hey Jeremy,

did id you pick your 140 from a local dealer? I'm looking around at 140-160 sized turbines and get nothing but great reviews of the jet munt turbines.

thanks

Yes, that's exactly how I would qualify the BL versions. Extremely smooth in all circumstances. Including starts. The VT-80 was by far the best engine on the market without the brushless pump. I can't wait to get our first demo unit to see how much smoother it gets.

I'm just wondering if it's possible to convert the brush version to the brushless and how much this will cost perhaps at the next service I might do the upgrade ?

Hi Dave,

Yes Phil Celima is the Australian Dealer. His site is http://jetproductsaustralia.com/

He also does all the local support for the engines as well.

Cheers

We are looking at this with Gaspar right now.
Technically, the conversion can be made fairly easily at our Houston facility. However the price point might be an issue as it needs a brand new ECU board that includes the valves and would be quite pricy I assume.
Will report here when I have an answer about this.

Oli, I am also interested in knowing the level of service you can provide here in the U.S. I think I remember seeing a thread indicating you would have a balancer at your facility in Texas soon. Is this available now so all service can be done here in the U.S.?

Wish that was the case... read the fine print.. Dreamworks RC only services Merlin turbines if it was originally bought from "them"...

Ultimate Jets does not have a balancer last time I called and they MAY OR MAY not make you send it to spain to get it fixed, you ARE RESPONSIBLE for shipping charges both ways, this applies to both Behotec & Jets Munt, so I would say dreamworks is a better option, even though they are more expensive.

Also altecare has the best prices on both behotec and jets munt if price is your main concern.
