Once again, we are fully certified to service all our engines in-house.
Woody used to build micro turbines and is trained to service BF, Behotec and JetsMunt turbines.
We are the USA distributors for BF and Behotec and carry a comprehensive stock of spares for these engines.

Typical turnaround is one week, however for complex crash repair job it could be a lot more.
Bearing change is usually 5 days if we have the correct bearing type in stock. We use a Schenker laser balancer for that job. Super nice machine.

What fine print? We have been selling and servicing Jetsmunt engines in house since 2003. We have never restricted service on engines to only those we have sold and we have performed warranty service on engines we did not sell many times?
Not sure where this erroneous information came from but completely false!
Dreamworks is a authorized repair facility for Jetsmunt and Kingtech engines. We have electronic balancing equipment and built a dedicated indoor test cell for servicing engines when we purchased our new facility. The only engine service we turn away are brands we have no access to replacement parts. We have more service experience with Jetsmunt engines than anyone in the USA and have been a dealer since the company released its first engine...

Todd. that's Excellent news. So glad to hear. Please ask Gaspar to correct his dealers list and remove the fine red print

Please, please!
No customer war here. This is about a new turbine. Not personal issues with a dealer. Thanks.

Here are some pictures of the new VT-80BL from our stock:

The new engine has a new JetsMunt logo with a better description of the connections.
The fact that the engine has a brushless pump clearly shows on the casing.

The updates are concerning the replacement of the pump, obviously, and of the internal ECU board, which has a specific controller for the pump.
Note that this ECU is not fully running on Xbus protocol for the sensors and starter motor ( which is brushed ). Also, there is one more input than before for the the 3 brushless pump drive wires. Previously, the pump wires were included in the battery plug.

Note that I will post soon a small article on our blog and a thread on RCU showing how we balance a rotating assembly with our machine. Mostly a short informative thread as this stuff can be very boring...

Any idea what it would cost to convert the current VT80 to brushless?

Not at the moment.
I am still waiting for spare parts pricing from Gaspar.
In any case that would be at least:

Engine/ ECU board
Aluminium cowl
Pump
and possibly some small hardware like board spacers and screws.

I just got the prices from Gaspar.
The upgrade procedure is 400 USD excluding shipping of the engine back and forth to us.
The upgrade requires to be done at our facility because the new ECU needs to be programmed to the motor. Plus there is a calibration routine to conduct.
I have two upgrade kits coming in stock, hopefully before Christmas, and I am in the process of conducting the upgrade on one of the factory engines.

Anyone that bought the dreamworks fail safe, they would disagree; it was shortly discontinued after it was found to be defective and glitchy, no recourse for people that bought it; the recommended fixes were bs.

In terms of service, however, dreamworks they are the only ones with a balancer for Jets Munt, so your best bet would be to go through them; I would not buy anything from ultimate jets and expect local service untill they have a full service center with a balancer, because they are going to have to ship it to Europe to get it fixed and you will have to pay the shipping bill.

For non balancing needs ultimate jets is good, they helped me with my ECU failry quickly in got it running back for my Behotec 180 Gold.

I am working on a tutorial that shows how we balance the turbine assemblies with our machine. Will publish that on our blog and on RCU after the vacations.

So basically you're advising people to not buy product from us, but at the same time you're quite happy to come to us when no one else can sort out a problem on an engine that you did not buy from us?
Did you even realize that we repaired your engine without invoicing a single working hour?

You guys replaced my ecu, my engine was fine; but you also clearly told me if you have to "crack the nut" it would need to go Germany because you don't have balancers here; YES I would be paying the shipping bill both ways. That is a big problem if you plan on being a service center. Things may have changed since then, but if they haven't and you can't balance in house then YES, don't buy jets munt from ultimate rc jets, buy it form Dreamworks because they can service your turbine, ensure it is balanced and ready to go.

I was fine with your service, picked up the phone and answered emails. Peter A. was not in town so I sent it to you guys; Now altecare has been selling BF/Behotec for many years and since I have a pre-existing relationship I would probably keep buying form Peter.
