Question WEA LinkVario Type V-500 and LinkVario Type V-501, connection of sensors?

Hi
Can someone explain the difference in the LinkVario Type V-500 and LinkVario Type V-501 regarding the connection of sensors? I bought the first-mentioned. I have only tested Vario and it works very well. Thinking now to connect a GPS Pro Module, and then my question is, can I plug in additional sensors in addition to GPS? In the manual that apply to both types of variometers can I read that I can connect only one sensor in the Link Type Vario-V-500 while you can connect two sensors to Link Vario DUO Type-V-501?
I'm not a bit wiser by reading the manual!
Looking at the pictures on the vario meters so it seems only difference being the labels? Link Vario Type V-500 appears to have identical connectors like Link Vario DUO Type V-501?

/Ville

The difference about the two modules is the variometer sensor. One is single, the other one is twin and much more precise.
Otherwise the peripheral capability is the same for both as far as I am aware of. I have not tried it but I am pretty sure that you can plug GPS + pitot + current sensors on both units.
This is a fantastic device for glider pilot. Competition grade stuff.

Thank you Oli, happy to hear that I have not thrown my money down the drain.
Is it just me who thinks that the manual is a bit flawed!?

You need to refer to the online German user manual. It is quite complete.

Oh dear, had no idea that these manuals existed. Now everything became crystal clear.
I thank you very much again.

You're welcome. I have translated this manual to English and will publish it soon...
