JWM Donation Link
Hello everyone,
The JWM team for 2015 is actively seeking donations to help fund our team for the JWM in Germany next year. The cost for us to participate is over $60,000.00. Please consider offering a donation (any amount is helpful). These funds will go toward bringing the gold home to USA! Go Jet Team USA!

Thank you,

Compared to other countries, the USA Team is poorly funded. We are trying to create a team that will sustain Jet Team USA into the future. We have many project initiatives that we are working on right now including a mentor program for youth. Our hope is to get young pilots interested in participating in the JWM and if we can fund it invite some to go to Germany with us. The exposure will be a big positive to the hobby in the USA in general where we see interests starting to decline.

Yea Andy one of our new objectives during www.route66jets.com/ in September, as well as a planned new venue at http://www.orvrcf.com/ in June, is to solicit the local schools to bring bus loads of students to the events where we will set up a demo booth to explain the modeling/flying particulars.
Both of these flying sites will accommodate some prop plane trainer/buddy cord hands on experience.
I/we have, in the past, done this with very gratifying success.

It would be interesting if you have info about the funding of the various countries teams at WJM. I was under the impression that very little sponsorship was received and that most competitors paid for themselves. In the USA you will be at a disadvantage in that you would have more travelling to do than most countries especially when the event is held in Europe. Maybe you handle this by getting the airlines to pay the cost?
