I have done some planking, and formers for nose and tail, the double Wren pipe was a tight fit, but will give me some peace of mind regarding heat.
So far no problems.

Great thread on a new design. I have just ordered the CNC and wood packs so this should keep me busy over the winter, will keep you posted if there is interest.

I have a P100 engine in my Xcalibur that I will swap over. When some of these get flying it will be interesting to discuss on engine size and performance.

I put togheter what i have done so far, the size is good, the wings take some time, but are really easy too build, the wing ribs are warping, so take the time too align everything with a lot of pins and spacers.

The wings are fragile, seem too damages them every time i move them around, so i decided too fiberglass them at this early stage. Today i started on ailerons and elevators.

I have done all the basic balsawork, exept fin and rudder, the fuselage would be more difficult too move around after the fin is in place, so i will wait as long as possible.
I have started too cut hatces in the bottom fuselage before glassing.
I make the nose removeable, the nose cone sits in one of the fuselage cut-outs in the picture.

Great build you have going on here!. Vulcans are one of those "Must do" projects!
What size turbine will you be using?
