Hey Guys, just wanted to show you photos of my re-covering job, did not like the ARF color schemes and the canopy painting by our fellow jet flying Canadian friend. Chic

Great job. These jets fly absolutely great. We have 2 at our club and as ugly as they are on the ground they are beautiful in flight. Graceful and fast. Our guys modified the nose retract mount to make the jet less prone to bouncing on landing and it made a world of difference. i have thought about getting one and stripping it and then fiberglasing it.

Hey Tom thanks for the kind words. Do you know what they did to the nose wheel to help isolate the bounce?

They raised the mount about 3/4 to 1" to make the nose sit lower. Plane now sits level to slightly nose low. This allows a nose high approach without hitting the nose gear first. Use as much flap as you can for landing and be sure it is trimmed for a good glide on landing. If you have to hold nose up pressure to land it you will slowly release up elevator pressure and allow the nose gear to hit first and start the bounce.
