Cortex Gyro Failure
#30
Could be one bad cortex in the batch
to fail before we consider that the part itself has failed.
Could be just a dud gyro.

Extreme, While Danny is working the issue, bypass the cortex and recheck each and every servo for normal operation.. while you are monitoring the current with a current meter.
when you hook the cortex back up, add a 3rd power wire with the signal wire removed from some port in the receiver to the bind port in the cortex. it will provide a bit of additional current capability. Only plug it in after binding and setting up cortex. I do that on all my cortex installs with big servos..
The cortex is a simple parallel bus setup with 2 power inputs (red/white/black).. so all 5 servos are running off that two lines.. It would be feasible to overload the connectors coming in if you fly a 3D plane very hard and long. So like someone said above, you may have to bring power around it, but add the 3rd wire for backup.

Guys this thread is from last year, this jet has been featured in the Jets Over Kentucky 2015 DVD and Best In The West 2015. I think he got it sorted out, just did not have time to post and update. I will contact him to make him aware, the thread is alive and well.
