Yes it was 42MPH "airspeed" that was with the 8 mph head wind that day factored into that number. we actually landed even slower but I was right on the edge. The brakes are not proportional so with the way I run logic brake switching, yes they are on while landing. roll out is next to nothing. My landing was actually not recorded but I was a bit slow, but the plane was still stable, no wing stall and I actually stopped in about 5-10 feet and turned off on the first taxi way. brakes work great!

Took some time going through the vertical stab and as Jordan stated the access to the rudder servo is not ideal. I cut out the fuse servo access hole a little so there would be more room to thread through the wire. The extension lead going to the receiver was then trimmed back and a new lead put on. Now the connection is readily accessible and if needed the rudder servo can be unconnected and removed with ease. Note the trimming of the covering prior to gluing it in place on the top of the fuse.

Yes, I got my extended so that I could get the rudder servo out as well, and it is a must to trim more covering to get a good glue joint. Looks great HeliJet!!

So guys, I will be doing another review here shortly on another new Jet coming to market. Would you guys like to see a video segment on the build, along with the written form like I did here with pictures for reference as well? Let me know. Also I will be doing a "basic jet set up video" and flight prep video on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks for everyone that is new to Jets and may not have a big jet following at their local club, this is my idea to take away a lot of the Turbine mystery's to new comers. let me know about that too. Thanks for the feed back!

Just got my turbine ready dolphin! Guys, just a note...they will negotiate price. Mine was 2400 shipped to my door! A couple questions....feeling dumb...there is, what I assume is,a voltage regulated installed. It has 2 battery leads.....I've never used one before...what are the 2 leads for, and what batteries are needed? Also, this is a big jet...would the KingTech K-140 G be a good choice?

Kim, congrats. I sure wish I would have went with the TR version, but I am enjoying the build so far. I went with the K140 because the K80 I have would have been marginal at our field so I figured if I had to buy another turbine anyway why not go with the 140.
The turbine ready versions were 10% off back in Dec from Chief, that would have been somewhere around $2400 delivered.
the regulator allows you to use two separate batteries for redundency. I believe the Pilot regulator has a fault isolator circuit such that if one battery shorts out or dies the other battery takes over automatically.

I got the 10% plus half off shipping. Got it from Chief. Ordered through the Florida store. I had an idea for a tail cone today. It looks good, and the part cost me 6.00! Once I get it mounted, I'll send a picture. What batteries would you recommend for the regulator? Would these replace the receiver battery?

Tony from Pilot and Dana from chief both recommended the 140 for the Dolphin although the 100 would work well too. There are many jets available down the road to put that 140 in. Something to consider.

Been working on the jet...was surprised at how big the gap was around the horizontal stab. Where it meets the fuse at the leading edge, it a full 1/4 inch! I'm leaning toward the 100..... Would I need to change the tank tubing if I did? Has anyone flown one with the 100 size, and big wing? My exhaust cone looks pretty good. I'll try to post a picture, or, if you email me at [email protected], I can send one.

My gap was the same, you can see it in the pictures under the tail section build. The fuel tubing needs to be changed for the 100 for sure. I also have notes on the size I used. Runs great that way. As for the 100 on the big wing, it will fly it but the 140 would be the better fit in my opinion. Look forward to seeing your tail cone.
