Your geographical knowledge of Africa is a bit out.. The Gambia is about as far as one can get in Africa from Ethopia about as far as New York is from San Francisco.

Yes a nice bit of fun.

Your listening to what they r saying too much. I'm just enjoying his build. Thx for pointing that out though. I guess you think he is a real pilot too.

You gotta give it to the guy, to make that thing, with what has to be such limited materials, when I look at this, i think its cool, what enthusiasm. Could you imagine if he was blessed as we are, here in America, he would be working at lockheed, and flying rc turbines.

Give this guys more info and some materials, and they will do something much better.

They have the right dream, even if local conditions don´t give them much opportunities.

I think all of us in the US are donating enough cash to that country so they have plenty of spare time to build their own planes and helis ,now if they could only learn to plant some crops and feed themselfs. Just saying ! joe

I have just checked and it seems that US aid to the Gambia amounts to approx 500,000 dollars a year. Uk aid is also low and EU aid plus Kuwait money funds the balance of national debt. This is one very poor country. I dont think the US aid would fund anything much certainly not building their own planes and helis.

I once knew a washer machine in the Philippines that sounded exactly like that, spin cycle and all.

Not quite. They are using FEJ technology. These are the FEJ "engineers" working on "full scale" designs. At least with these models they almost seem to be doing some design "testing".

Who would have thought to use concrete for fuselage skin ... simply brilliant! Better than that honeycomb, huh?

You people have no idea of Africa. Hell you dont even know your own country. There is unseen genius in Africa. Of course these guys are really lucky they dont have oil, otherwise they would be bombed tomorrow due to "terrorism".
Elon Musk is from Africa and he is teaching the world a few things. Move an ARF factory here and you will see what they can do.
