Possible Bug???
Has anybody seen this issue? It only appears on the servo travel page. The first pic you can see channel 3 is Swash-A when its actually R Elevon Pic 2 on channel 6 shows L Flap 1 and that one is L Tail. any other page shows the correct function.

QUOTE] i have the same issue in the flap setup in the airplane menus. i think you'll see a lot of updates. or a few big ones . there's a bug report page going on here on RCU

Interesting point about the W. sticks. FWIW that is my problem with the DX18 as well, the sticks. I like super low stick tension and find the DX 18 sticks to be very "springy" with high tension down to the minimum available settings. But my JR 11X's are fine. Personal preference.

I am only really interested in telemetry to tell me how much fuel is available. Hight, speed, temps, voltages (well maybe low voltages) not so much. Can the 28X do that? I just want to fly my plane and not look down. But if a telemetry equipped TX could warn me that I am at 20% fuel remaining or battery remaining that would be great. I could just fly until it was time to land. I know the Jeti can do that. So how about the 28X?

No have not had the time. But its pretty clear when you read the manual. Even the new receivers have to have the resolution reduced in order to get the 28 channels so my guess is the older one just dont have the bandwidth to support more than 17 channels. When those receivers came out there was only a 14 channel radio.
Also, I think you are confusing resolution with frame rate. The higher numbered channels are updated less frequently 56ms vs 14ms as per the manual, but it doesn't say they are lower resolution. See page 5-15.

Had JR's UK distributor MacGregor talk with JR just now and they say all XBus Rx's will give 28 channels, but its the fail safe that won't work on older Rx's above ch 16!

Also so heard back from jramericas:
"Got an answer for you. The manual is wrong. They have unlimited channels so you are good to go. That came from jr in Japan so it is from the top"

Several test flights yesterday, we are still learning for sure, but all went perfectly. I test flew a SM Hawk with this Xbus Rx/PWM set up, worked great

Does anyone know if it is ok to back feed power through the low current converter harnesses (like the xb1-cv4)? I want to connect the outputs of this harness to a powerbox (retrofit situation).

Ok so i finally figured out how to use the gear function after an hour of fiddling. I am programming a Shockwave that only has a nose door so I used S-gear and S-gear c1. nose door stays open when nose gear down.
I have them working properly but i dont like that when i retract gear, the gear will not retract til it hit the first point instead of immediately. any way to fix this? on a 7 second delay the gear wont retract til 3.5 seconds. can i move the points on graph? or add another point?
any help please?
Scott

Looks like you can add a new point by tapping the arrow to move the blue line closer to zero time, click add and put the step change there closer to zero. Again, have not messed with it... just trying to help.

Correct me if I am wrong but I guess you can't manipulate the widgets much like changing the readout number size, voice commands like battery percentage left, frequency of reporting tx anf rx battery voltages, voice prompts on the countdown timers, etc. Most of the less expensive radios. Don't misunderstand me, I love this radio but I am assuming that becase none of this is in the manual, it is not available. I also assuming that there is plenty of room in the firmware for changing and adding. Thanks

I expect funtionality to continue to be enhanced enhanced now that the 28x is in production.
It it is pretty amazing, and has a feel that quite frankly unmatched.
I flew my Futura last weekend with the 28x and added the axis, and can't get over how well it all works.

You can choose to have voice read outs, unit measurements, but cannot change the size or readout of the widgets. We've been working with JR Americas to address some of the labeling issues we've seen from screen to screen as noted above.

Thanks Matt for the update. Have not had a chance to fly it as yet but can'r wait. I have most everything working on the bench, The altimiter is super accurate. That is pretty important where I fly here in AZ as we have a 400 ft limit due to proximity with an airport. At first I was not going to switch all of my DMSX stuff over but probably will. Still have an 11X for that.

I heard back from JR Americas and they said you should NOT back feed power through the low current harnesses.

Matt , can you help us better understand the voice part of the radio? a few guys "as well as me" want to know how to get the voice system programed . i've been trying hard to get things to work only to have it not. i'm guessing it has to do with the flight mode system. any help would be great , WB_1
For or the flight modes, you just have to name the flight modes and it will say them when you change modes. For example I have a "Land and takeoff" mode. When I go into it she says "Land and Takeoff".

Dave, how do you access channels above #14? The x-port duo you have used only seems to have outputs for channels 1-14.
