Tony, Shanec, Jamie,
Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. Install done except waiting on a turbine data cable extension. I should have it done, weighed and CG by end of week.

Hopefully I will have my camera buddy there with the high res video. It does float especially if you have any extra speed and the ground effect is significant with the large wing and low profile. Thanks for the tips. Hopefully we will have good weather again for the test flights and LTMA1 sign off.

SUCCESS!
The Sabre XLT successfully flew 5 flights this weekend and taxied back each time! I found the speed brake to be very effective in allowing a steeper approach angle without extra speed and allowed a shorter approach. The Sabre will turn on a dime and is very stable at high AOA. It is very easy to fly and is lots of fun.
The first flight this weekend is posted here:

Desert Fox, thanks for the You Tube repost. My friend who took the video sent me the link. I need all the computer help I can get. Thanks again.
I have two other videos we did with a SoloShot camera where you put a tracker device in the jet and the robot camera follows the plane. It did pretty good except it aimed too low on each landing and just filmed the grass. The files are 2.5 gig each so not sure how I can post them to view on RCU. Any help appreciated.

Sabre XLT Update:
After flying the Sabre XLT two weekends in a row I now have 10 flights. All with a taxi back and no repairs! The landings have been a non event. The speed brake is very effective in helping to make a steeper final approach with out picking up extra speed. I have been able to adjust pitch on downwind to maintain a very slow speed and then hold that AOA and speed in the final turn for a very tame landing. Landing technique is just to set a touchdown pitch attitude in the round out and then it will softly settle to the ground in ground effect for a soft touchdown. The Electron ER-50 gear and brakes are outstanding. Very happy with them.
Aerobatics are fun. Very tight turns are possible. Holding full up high rate elevon and full thrust on the K-210 will cause continuous loops about 20' in diameter. There is no wing rock or snap tendency. I was able to hold nearly 0 ground speed in a headwind. I have scared myself a couple of times with how fast the Sabre will turn around and look at you even at moderate speed. I have no idea what the G is but it has to be up there.
Overall I am very happy with how the Sabre XLT flies. Its a credit to Mike Oser's design and calculations that it flies so well and exactly as he predicted. Im glad I stayed with the project the last two years after the two wrecks.
We were able to get some video with a SoloShot robot camera. I will try to get the links posted here.
Thanks to all who supported and encouraged. It was fun and very rewarding.
