Default Canopy Hold Down Hooks

So all the scale artfs I own have the canopy hold down hooks poked through a slot in the canopy base and a wad of epoxy/micro balloons slobbered on the tag where it comes through to hold it in place.

How do you guys deal with this especially when fitting a cockpit which needs to rest inside the canopy flange? If someone made a hook out of T section material the top of the T could lie inside the flange and be held down with a small amount of Hysol and then the cockpit flange could be cut round this.

Any pointers?

Thanks!

The perfect solution, being here in the UK BVM doesn't immediately spring to mind, maybe it should!
