OK, its in the van, if I can stand up will fly it tomorrow.
I'll update on things I found during the build, it goes together really well (like the smaller one)
JR 28X, 1131B Rx, Powerbox Gemini II, 2 x 2s 3350 Li-Po, JR 8911 and JR 8421 servos, JetCat P-140RX

All worth the lack of sleep, only managed two flights today as I was busy test flying other models or helping out with tech stuff. But the Plus flies fantastically well, like the prototype its grooves, couple of peeps of aileron trim and 3% more down with full flap and it was good to go.
I removed some weight after the first flight, I think I had 150g, but had forgotten to check balance before filling the tank last night for the turbines test run, so added a little more to be safe, in the end I'm left with 50g! two 3350 2s Li-Po Rx and 1 x 5000 2s ECU.
Still needs more stickers, but kinda ran out of time :-)
Hope to do some more tomorrow, Rx packs took 430mAh each all the set up and two flights.

Load more flying today, few more radio tweaks. Let a couple of other people have flights and they seemed to enjoy themselves!

With full flap as the manual (130mm) its only 3mm, if you run less flap it increases fractionally
Was flying it yesterday again at a show here, attracted quite a bit of interest again
Best Regards

Dave,
When you say Halfords paint is this for the red? Do you use any fuel proofer after you have sprayed it? Quite fancy adding a bit of colour to my trays, never bothered before but it does look smart.

I asked Dave the same question on the ‘little’ Xcalibur thread.
The answer was “it's fuel proof enough without anything in addition to the paint”
I used standard Halfords grey primer for the inside of the body and then standard Halfords car paint over primer for the boards – came out great!
Cheers,
Lee.

Sorry, did see this last night and forgot to answer as I was here without computers on.
Yes, stock Halford spray. The oil based fuel is not a problem. Here are some blue trays I painted Monday for a Blue Angels Xcalibur i'm finishing up to sell.

Does anyone know or can someone find out if the US/Canada shipment is on the way or has it been delayed? Just wondering if someone had any info for us poor suckers that are watching Dave build these while we're sitting on our thumbs.

You should talk to GJC, they will have the info...But last I heard it was due in the US this month. Sometimes other things affect delivery outside the companies control.

Hi All,
i just got verification that our shipments of Xcalibur plus will be leaving China on our container July 12th getting them here in the states by the first week of August. Once we have them we can also offer shipping by air via DHL for those who do not wish to wait.
