Dave, Just wanted to say Thank You for the great information regarding this new jet. I've ordered one as my first jet and am anxiously waiting for them to arrive over in the USA, which I here will be sometime mid August which is no big deal. I'm trying to gather information currently regarding the landing gear system. Is it 100% air up air down, or is it an air up spring down system? I've looked on several websites that deal with the regular sized Xcalibur and haven't been able to find the information. Thought I'd ask the person who would know best. Thank You!

Yes, air up and down. Package comes with two servo operated valves, one for gear and one for brakes.
The site in Aberdeen I was flying at last weekend is built on marsh land so each winter it "moves" and is very undulating. The Plus gear soaked it up quite happily even landing across the ridges.

Hi there. I am about to do the maiden flight of my xcalibur plus. Jet is powered by an ATJ190SV. I ve set the cg point according to the manual. Has anyone moved the c.g to another point for better flying or c.g is perfect there? If it matters, I prefer to fly my jets a bit tailheavy. Thanks. Andy..

You have way to much power. Its a 13.5kg model with a lot of wing. It will accelerate vertically with a P-160SX.
Balance is good, header full and main tank 20mm of fuel.

Hi Dave. I am a dealer of atj turbines. Brought the new engine for demo and future larger project Iwill descelerate engine's thrust to approx 16kg. Saw your 18kg thrust video. Nice throttle management . I've balanced mine with header full end completely empty maintank. So i suppose I'll have to add 2cm fuel in main tank and balance it again at facfory's c.g point right?. On your video did you fly at factory c.g point? Thanks. Andy..

Long as you fly the throttle, no problem. Normally more power means the need for a throttle curve! How is the residual thrust on the ATJ?
Yes, best to add some fuel, its mostly in front of the balance. Yes, manual figures are exactly as the TB model you see in the video...it was the test!
You will love the Plus, it flies great!

Yes, I read the spec. You can't see my throttle position on the test flights with the JetCat P-180Rx...its 1/3 stick position in normal flight, alien to many who naturally open to 3/4!
Even those long verticals I was not at full power...you will see
My model now has a P-140Rx and the vertical is perfect

Thanks Dave. Thrust at idle is around 0.8kg. Got another 2 x atj140 installed on other jets. Although i have an extra set of vlaves pumb harness etc etc for istalling 140 on another jet just by removing the turbine, i brought the 190. Can be used on a larger project (future). Anyway, wife sugested a shopping therapy cor psychological reasons coz im becoming 44 this August so she paid for xcalibur and atj 😊

Nothing strange with full flap. Its easier to damage a model landing in "lift" mode...bounce bounce bash! You did a great job with a smooth touch down, but it will be easier with full landing flap!
Guess you landed with lots of fuel too, cruising around with a P-140Rxi it get 12 minutes!
