I don't seem to remember there being any air tubing supplied with the retracts but you can use either 3mm of 1/8th for the nipples. When you get the gear pm me, I have some advice on a required mod!
Regards,
Gary.

Does anyone know or has anyone used a different fuel tank other than the stock fuel tank? Seems the more I try to get the stopper in I hear what sounds like cracking. I'm worried if I try to force it too much there's going to be issues. Just curious because I'd like to find a different fuel tank.

I changed the stopper system with an own system, since the days of methanol I have a life long hate with these units, the sooner or later they start to leak and are cumbersome to install. In this thread at page
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-j...l#post12150915 You will find the details. Till now not a single drop leaked.
Somewhere in the thread I too advised the Xcal could do with a smaller tank, 5,5 litres, even with an 160 is overkill, I normally tank it till about one litre below full and I still end up with 1/4 or 1/3 left. OK, I am not one of the pilots that fly continuous full throttle till in the circuit for landing...

I am not a full throttle guy myself. Most of my flights on my other jets are 1/2 throttle. I use energy and momentum to do most of my maneuvers. I'll check your out in a few. I just didn't know if someone else had changed to a different style tank all together. Thanks again.

Jason, the tank is as delivered with the kit, I just modified it as shown. I have modified all my jetfuel and gasoline burning models to this system. Especially nice and safe for multi-tank systems in jets. The FESTO couplings are great, like for removal of a tank, just disconnect the normal FESTO way. The 90 degree couplings are of the swivelling type so they align themselves to the best position offered by the tubing.
The link I sent might not get You at the correct page, it is page 369 in this thread.

Does anyone have some pictures of their receiver, uat, fuel pump, etc. install? Also if you have a kingtech turbine even better because I'm seeing the ECU needs to be a little closer to the turbine than I originally thought. Wires aren't long enough to reach the front. Thanks in advance.

I made an extra platform as shown in the picture. Could accommodate all items I wanted. It sits more or less on top of the fuse, but who cares, if the canopy is closed, nothing can be seen.

All the way up front. It helps balance as the model tends to be a bit tail heavy, even with 4 Lipo's in front I had to add a few 100 grams lead in the nose. I take into account that the UAT will always be full during flight, You never fly using UAT fuel....
But with reasonable power use, a Wren 160, and not a full tank I guess one can fly like 12 mins. My timer rings at 8 minutes and then I make two or three touch and goes, There is mostly 1/4 or 1/3 left. I could do with a 4 litre tank, this one hold 5.5 litres.

Ok quick question for anyone. So, I am just about finished and thought I'd check the retracts. They go up fine, nose gear comes down but not the mains. So if I pull the retracts out, still hooked up and use a small flat screwdriver and lightly pry on the brass part they pop down like they are suppose to. It's like they just hang in the up position and I wondered if anyone else had this issue.

Jason, most likely the tip Dave gave, will be the reason for the lock up. I had this with more jets. You could check if the wheel can be rotated in retracted position. It can be corrected by making either more room in the wheel well OR (the easiest way) is to install a few washers around the screws under the inner part of the mounting flanges, so that it rises a bit and lifts the wheel a few mm in retracted position. The resulting not-90 degree position of the legs when extended, will be hardly noticeable and will improve even ground handling a bit.
If that works OK, one can make plywood wedges (or metal if You have the ability to work with machinery) so You'll get an even load spread under the flanges.
EDIT: If I remember correctly the wheel bay is quite close to the upper side of the wing, so opening the bay with a Dremel You have to be careful not to go in too deep.

The wheels spin freely inside the wheel wells. I can spin them freely. Nothing is touching the sides or top of the wheel wells. Dave, if I take the gear out of the wing and use a small flat screwdriver and apply very light pressure to the brass piece that rides in the "w" slot in the retracts. It's like they retract to the full 90 degrees and just lock.

Sometimes the one hump near the UP position in the "W" slot is just a tad too high or too steep. With a dremel You can round it off a bit. Go slowly bit by bit till it doesn't get stuck anymore. Grease it nicely with ball bearing grease.

A stone tipped one, mostly they are in the accompanying set. One You can use in the slot without touching the opposite side. Sometime they are a bit pointed but by holding the Dremel under an angle that it will flatten more or less in the plane of the slot. But it is not very critical. Blow away with compressed air the dust that comes off.

Ok. Here's the good and stupid news. So I got the gear figured out and they work as they are suppose to work. What was hanging them up? A small zip tie on the struts to keep the brake line in place. So, the second I cut the zip tie and pulled it out the gear dropped right down. So, since a very small zip tie is to thick, what do you guys use to secure the brake line?

Jason,
I thought that would have been obvious so didn't mention it. Glad you figured it out! Anyway, depending on the setup, I've used short segments of heat shrink over the strut, or electrical tape, or a thin band of duct tape, or wax cord, which is used in place of zip ties on electrical wire looms.

Dave, when Global Jet Club had their website up, they had a cg, throws, and elevator to flap mix setup on the page for the Xcalibur Plus. I was wondering what your cg and throws were because that site doesn't exist. Thanks.

Jason.
HK sells a cheepo but very sturdy wing carry bag (that sits both wings). https://hobbyking.com/nl_nl/hobbykin...-72-x-7cm.html
For the stab and booms and stab bag I made them my own, which is very easy, If You like I can tell You how, it is a simple technique that You can use for all types of wing or other transport bags.
Dont't forget the carbon wing joiner. Once in a while I stop at a shop where they sell cloth or all kinds of drapes. They throw away those sturdy paper rolls that the cloth is wound up from the factory. They come at all diameters, make great ways to store all kinds of rods and pipes so also for the carbon tube. Be reminded that if You would drop the carbon rod on a concrete surface, it can build cracks that You can't see, but the next time You fly it could break.

JP-1, how much did the Revoc set cost you? They sent me a price of 330.00 USD which seems a lot considering the price on their website is €140.00 which from what I understand is around $159-$160. Just curious.

Jason,Last year I paid £180.00, like I said earler the quality is outstanding, in the big picture considering the price we pay for our Jets, it is good insurance to prevent Hanger rash!!!!
