Custom Fuel and Smoke Tanks
I thought I’d share another option for custom fuel and smoke tanks. I was looking for a solution for a 3rd fuel tank to extend the range of my JL L-39. I was very limited for space above the stock tanks due to the air inlets. Eugene Christopher (username artchristic1 on RCU) came up with the answer. He built a custom 2.6 liter tank that fits like a glove. I also wanted a smoke tank that would fit in the limited space near the C of G. Eugene came up with that too. The 42 oz tank fits right in between the air inlet and the fuse. I haven’t had a chance to use the tanks yet (still building) but they look pretty darn good.
I don’t think Eugene is doing this to make a fortune, but rather to help out fellow modelers by doing something he enjoys. I think his prices will be very reasonable. He can make the tanks out of either fiberglass or Kevlar – your choice.
Pics of the fuel tank can be seen on Post #1801 on this link:

If you’re interested, you can contact Eugene through a PM on RCU, by email to [email protected] or through Monica at Camlex http://www.camlex-rc.com (email: [email protected])
I hope that this is of some help to some of you.
