just noticed the static whip brackets on my stabs , the wicks need to be on the bottom and I have one with the wicks on the bottom and one on the top, which means I have two right side stabs, Please check yours and let me know if I am correct !!!!!

This is not a mistake. Its a pure scale issue. The real plane has it also - one side has wicks on the bottom and the other is on the top. It is because the stab is perfect simetrical airfoil, and all F16 stabs are manufactured in a one sided jig, in the factory! I have also visited one of the factories and saw this for myself - just one side stab jigs, and installed in the plane one on the plane with one sided tip wicks, and the other on the bottom. I will try to send you some picks of the real one.

They should be flexible. To simulate them, go to Walmart and buy some Berkley 50lb leader line (black nylon coated), and glue a Berkley coupler at the end. Then you drill a small hole at the static dissipator base and CA the line with the coupler inside the hole.
Doesn't get much more scale than that. Thanks Phillip Avonds for teaching us how to do this stuff 20 years ago!

Hi, i will try to help on this one, bag 1:ball bearings and bolts for 2 slats and 2 elevators but there will be 10 ball bearing instead of 3, you will need 2 for e ach slat and 3 for each elevator, bag 2:those pieces shoul be in the root of each elevator, bag 3: L shape aluminium to support each slat servo, bag 4:hardware pack for the jet; bag 5: those 3 pieces shoul be 2 on each aileron servo and 1 for the rudder servo.
I will try to upload some pictures for you, that will save a million of words, try to take a good look to the instruction manual, i buit two of this jetīs for two diffrents customers, take care.

Was going to start a new thread but decided this one was fine and that way, others buying and assembling these could go to one thread rather than several.
Rec'd this 1/5 scale from Chief Aircraft. They had it in stock in the DeLand, FL store so getting it to my house took 3 days via UPS. Some minor packing and shipping issues but Danny and Dana have been stellar in customer service, receiving what was missing or damaged this week and next. Nothing to keep me from working ...yet!
Went with Details4Scale lights since I am still a "factory pilot" for them. Dan had the light kit out to me in 3 days also! Way to go Dan!
This bird is a great one! The gear...the gear...the gear is absolutely awesome in every way. The gear doors...FINALLY...they have a hinging/cylinder system that works perfectly and is very robust.
Last night, I worked on the Tailerons and got them set up except for the Servo Covers. Man, what a great system for being able to remove them for transport. The mechanisms were needing some TLC with all the paint buildup but working patiently with a BVM file and some denatured alcohol, they are working great now.
I went with MPH83T MK II Linear Hall Sensor Brushless Torque Servo soft centering on the Stabs, recommended by Craig, the founder of this thread. Amazing how robust having two bracing points on this surface really strengthens the movement and the support of the stabs. It took some shimming for sure on the left Stab and some shaving on the right to get them just right. Very key to do as Craig said, "align the arm with the Stab root and not the Fuse side!"
I am using MPI 1" arms on the Stabs, since they only have one hole at the end and a nice back brace right up to the 20mm hole I needed to drill for the bearing screw. It is necessary to carefully countersink this screw, as the clearances get really narrow as you are putting all the moving parts together!
