Mississippi Afterburner 2015

he flight controller stage, however, boots instantly. This means that you can go and fly immediately the last model used while the OS finishes booting.

Well,,this was my first time at mississippi, if i had to sum it up in one word, unbelievable..As usual the weathermen were wrong, we got three days of flying, I personally got 17 flight in on my jets. Vernon and his gang did a tremendous job hosting the event, the airfield is perfect and more room than you could ever need, the event organized to perfection, flight line managed excellent, got to spend time and meet some of the best people out there. Dawn and Bob making breakfast for EVERYONE. The variety of jets was crazy, Scott and Pablo were putting their elite aerosport jets through the ringer, and those jets are tough,. There were some of the best pilots I have ever seen, and everyone was having fun. The banquet dinner was also amazing, catfish, mudbugs ,hushpuppies, home made ice creams, cobblers,,etc. The donations were the best i have ever seen, the raffle was a brand new kingtech 140 from Barry, auctions for great prizes, Robert B. Won the custom painted Mississippi potato cannon. If you didnt make it, you missed a ton. If I only make 1 event a year,,this will be it, period. Thanks Vernon,, and my fellow Texan Jet pilots I fly with, you guys were absolutely right, this event is not to be missed,,,

We got home around midnight after another great great weekend of flying, and eating a lot of mud bugs, they were great as always. This is one of my favorite events all year, great flying, people, and of course food.
Had a great time flying the A-10 with the other two, hope some one has some video of that.
Thanks Vernon and all of his crew for putting this on every year, and having a great laid back event!

Don thanks for the pictures. I pretty sure I going to make this one next year and pass on FL Jets. I wish I could have made it. The A-10s shot are amazing. They look so real. I love that F-18. I guess it is a FEJ? It is big. I hope to see it in person. Nice job with the event guys.

That was fun flying the A-10's together! Mine is the Gen 3 in the back, the Gen 5 in the center belongs to Robert (with MKS from Houston), and yours up front is a Gen 4. It was interesting to see the progress in detail with the newer gen versions, but I think we proved they all fly about the same. I also hope somebody got a video.

I didn't think anything about dumping the water and clearing the crowd.... I'd been breathing the fumes since 3:30 yesterday afternoon. Was just trying to get the pot, and coolers cleaned up so that I could load them back up and cook again this weekend!
Buck I've only officially ever had an aft flapper valve failure one time, anyone that's heard the Marshall Texas story knows that was a movement of epic proportions.....

I had a awesome time !! Mississippi weather is just like Texas weather, wait a few minutes... It will change. I'm glad the Wx Experts were wrong this time !! Lot's of flying, lots of great food, and most of all, lots of great people. Can't wait for next year. This is without question a " Must go to " event !!. Thanks again Vernon, David, Dennis, Michelle, and the entire Hinds College organization for being great host and providing a premier facility to come to feel at home. Hope to see you all again very soon.
Cheers,
Danno

A worthy event to come out of mothballs for!!! Great event as always! Weatherman was a knucklehead but the weather was good...sorry for those that stayed away...you missed out! Thanks to Vernon and crew.
This might be the only event I can make this year...trying to arrange schedule for Super Jets South in Sept. since it's our home field...we will see. Best wishes everyone!
