I don't think there is a data port on Powerbox Royal? I know there isn't on the Cockpit or Baselog. There is xbus port only.

Try with genuine Spektrum receivers. I don't think PowerBox supports the Flight Log data system.

Thank u both

@luv2flyrc. Powerbox has a xbus port and a telemetry port. Xbus is for powerbox data(and data from other sensors) and the telemetry port is for connecting to the tm1000 to get flight recorder data.

@andy. Powerbox has support for flight log data. The current setup works fine if I don't have the xicoy module connected. I can power up the system and read 0s for all flight recorder data and read out proper battery capacity. I can turn off the tx and watch the flight log data on the power box start to increment on all values. I can then turn the tx back on and the incrementing stops. The values on the powerbox flight data matches what is reported on the tx. When I put the xicoy module in the flight data doesn't work as described above.

It would be disappointing if this combo doesn't work as with the popularity of kingtech turbines this should be a popular combo

Has anybody worked up a pump correction factor for a kingtech k180 yet?

Ya would really like to get the fuel part working on mine also. Its the single most important thing when your flying. I still just go by my timer for now.

were you able to figure out what the problem was? I am having the same issue...everything works great untill I plug in the Xicoy adapter, then my HOLDS go over 9000+. i am also using the powerbox (Royal SRS).
this is driving me crazy...can not seem to find a answer!!!

I gave up. I'm guessing it's not supported but no one is saying so

I agree that this would be a popular combo. At this point I think the issue is that the xicoy unit doesn't have a second xbus port. I have a jetcat module and it has two xbus ports. It works as u would expect.

dont know about all powerboxs but on the Royal SRS on the right hand side they have 2 ports for Spektrum. one for xbus and one for the data port from the TM-1000. (next to the GPS port)

on older powerboxes i understand there is no power on the data port (JR plug)...so you use a Y harness and plug into the port on the powerbox and a empty servo port.

I don't think that socket is for Spektrum. It's for HOTT, Jeti or Multiplex. The only connection for Spek is the xbus.

This is why you cannot get Holds/ frame loss or fade data on the TX. In order to provide this info the TM1000 MUST have a data connection. The xbus connection will provide the battery and turbine data ( with the xicoy telem device)

The wild fade readings that you are seeing on the TX are not accurate. That's what the Spek system does when the data port is not connected. Andy Kunz confirmed this for me.

How were you connecting the Xicoy telem module? Did you "Y" it in on the xbus cable connecting the PB to the TM1000?

the port on the side is for spektrum...this info is found right on powerbox webpage..http://forum.powerbox-systems.com/vi...hp?f=41&t=1375
all the losses...fades...holds work fine without the xicoy adapter pluged in.
yes i am using a xbus Y harness to connect the powerbox and xicoy together.

keep in mind this is for the newer powerboxs SRS....i came across a post from powerbox saying on older models there is no power at the data port...so you need to use a standard JR Y harness

Ahhh, Ok sorry for the confusion. I don't have a PB Royal on hand, only the Cockpit so, I was going by the instruction manual posted on the PB website. I guess it is an older manual. I see Richard has updated in the forum.

Hi,

perhaps I can make a simular test with my Powerbox Competition SRS, TM1000, xicoy adapter and Spektrum DX18 V2!?

Normaly I use the xicoy Adapter in combination with an AR7300BX and TM1000. In this combination I have although problems with abnormal fades and holds. When I activate alarm for >1 holds at telemtry menue and starts the binnding process with the AR7300BX and TM1000 there is already an short Alarm for holds. During the flight of my turbine heli there are more very short spontaneous alarms. All These holds or frame losses are not registered by the receiver or DX18 V2, only displayed for a very short Moment.

If I unplug the temperature sensor of ECU the alarm at binding process is away.

The behaviour is reproduceable with different TM1000 and cables.

What receiver are you using? I have the Royal SRS powerbox and I get random holds shown in telemetry but not in the powerbox itself, when I use the xicoy turbine adapter.

They work great! When I used Spektrum I had them on my jets...like having an ecu on your transmitter. You can set up alarm for flameout and can set up a crude fuel gauge. I have 2 I will sell $20 each. I changed from DMSX to DMSS...pm if interested.
