Robert and I met with the City of Wilson, airport committee, the new FBO service staff on Friday. Great Folks! Everything is falling into place and it looks like we're going to have a record attendance this year. They'll have Jet-A on hand for those wanting to fill your jugs.
The blast deflectors we had last year worked out really well so we're getting more built now. In all we'll have 64' of them on the start line.
Couple of other big improvements made that we'll share later.

Jim, aren't you coming to fly, or is that for your guests?

Jim,
FIF is FREE to the public. No parking fee,no gate fees. The only thing we require is for them to Smile and have a Good Time!!!!
Pilots are required to provide a good show!

Larry, with Janice in hospice since last weekend, Bob Klenke is making sure the JPO gets you a trophy for the event. Been a rough week and this will be my first chance to get away and enjoy myself in awhile. Looking forward to it very much this year.

Ron,
Robert, Jacqui and myself have been following your post on FB the last several days. Please know you and Janice are in our prayers. I can only imagine the struggles and pain you are going through, and I have to admire your state of heart and the way you have accepted the circumstances, as well as putting things in Gods hands. We know you have a wonderful family there to support you, but keep in mind you have an extended family in the jet world there for you as well...............

Our Wilson Industrial Air Center event site gives a whole new meaning to the term "WFO".

24 Days to go boys! Looks like we have a record number of pilots coming. Just working out a few final details for the event and we're ready to go!
Cant wait for you guys to see this year's Trophies! As always, we're going for something different and you guys wont be disappointed. ANYONE would be proud to display these ultra cool awards. Might give a sneak preview later,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The city is again providing key cards for the main security gate, so we'll have that added measure of safety and security for the RV camp grounds and all event structures. One card per registered pilot.

Also want to mention we have sponsorship for the T-Shirts. I want to thank the members of the "First In Flight Jet Club" for picking up the cost on this. These are the same guys that take time off from work and their busy lives to set up the field preparing the event venue and work the event for all of us. They're an awesome group of guys that are very dedicated to doing whatever is needed to make this event happen....
We have our best T-Shirt design ever this year! Robert Vess came up with a great design that features multiple colors on a white shirt. This years shirt really POPS! One shirt is included to every registered pilot. Also want to give a big thanks to Steve Knight, owner of "DynaGraphics" in Raleigh NC for working with us on these T-Shirts. They provide an excellent product, and gave us an outstanding price so we could make this possible for you guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLrP8oURJnk

Attention Folks!
Due to an Over Whelming amount of tent rental request in recent days, we are having to make a big decision here. Unfortunately, we are forced to stop taking any additional request as of today. Due to an increase in larger tent sizes requested, and having a higher number of pilots attending we are simply running out of real estate! All request received as of yesterday ( 4/30/15) will be covered. We are looking into alternatives for future FIF events that may accommodate everyone's needs without reducing the luxury and benefit of having a private tent. Although we are very excited about the rapid growth of this event we are working hard to manage it in attempts to keep it the great venue it is. We are not in any way wanting to keep pilots from coming as we have enough runway and sky to supply many many more. We're simply trying to keep the quality of provided tent space as spacious as possible. With that being said, we want to ask any of you that have rented tents already to give consideration to opening up some space under your tent to those still wanting to come. The staff at FIF thanks you for all your help and we realize it's YOU that makes this event so awesome.

NOTE: We still invite anyone with Pop Ups to bring them!!

Hi Larry

We would be more then happy to accommodate our fellow pilots if we have space. But be warned, the crew from Canada like there after flying beers. Lol
