Due to an Over Whelming amount of tent rental request in recent days, we are having to make a big decision here. Unfortunately, we are forced to stop taking any additional request as of today. Due to an increase in larger tent sizes requested, and having a higher number of pilots attending we are simply running out of real estate! All request received as of yesterday ( 4/30/15) will be covered. We are looking into alternatives for future FIF events that may accommodate everyone's needs without reducing the luxury and benefit of having a private tent. Although we are very excited about the rapid growth of this event we are working hard to manage it in attempts to keep it the great venue it is. We are not in any way wanting to keep pilots from coming as we have enough runway and sky to supply many many more. We're simply trying to keep the quality of provided tent space as spacious as possible. With that being said, we want to ask any of you that have rented tents already to give consideration to opening up some space under your tent to those still wanting to come. The staff at FIF thanks you for all your help and we realize it's YOU that makes this event so awesome.

NOTE: We still invite anyone with Pop Ups to bring them!!

some of us were planning to come, but this might be a big problem. No more tents?

If we bring our own pop up canopy's; how far will we have to move equipment to get to flight line?

Rich in the past I have set up 2 years with a pop up at back corner of the taxi way. If I had to guess maybe 200ft to the start up area. The taxi way is about the same as KY jets to the hanger.

I was just talking with Larry about this last night - if you don't like wet socks, also bring a pair of boots. This will do one of two things - 1) keep your feet dry if the weather guys are wrong and we don't have a drying spell in the next few weeks, or 2) kick in Murphy's law and it won't rain at all until after the event. Option number two was the ticket last year.

Either way, it is definitely worth it! See you all there!

Bob

Are those made by FTE?

The boots that stay in my trailer for the past few years are referred to as my "Wilson boots"

I have seen this at just about every event now, Jim Brown runs out of beer money and sells his socks! This year will be no different.

Hole Eeee Crap! Last year's sock mystery is solved! We found these in the camp ground area last year not far from the big hanger ( where Jim was camped) At first glance we thought maybe an alien had landed during the night and lost them. But now we know!!!!!
Don't worry Jim,,, We'll have them waiting at the registration tent for you this year!

I heard that socks were used in Canadian Beer instead of hops
