Hey Bob,
Rental tents are being set up Monday and Tuesday. Typically they finish the tents around 2:00 PM on Tuesday. As soon as the tents are up and the fire Marshall does his walk through we let pilots start setting their trailers behind them as well as let them set any gear up under the tents. All trailer are allowed to remain on site throughout the event. Same goes for campers and Motor Homes. We just ask folks to wait until around noon to start pulling in the camping slots. That gives us time to mow the area one last time so everyone has a nice lawn for the entire event.

Hey Guys!
As some of you already know, we have a new caterer in place for the Saturday night banquet this year! Each pilot registration includes One Banquet Pass for the Saturday night festivities. Additional tickets will be available to anyone wanting to attend but I Must Know by 5:00 PM on Friday. The caterer needs time to prepare and I have to give a total head count by 5;00 PM Additional tickets will be $10 each.
This years dinner will be served by Bill's BBQ in Wilson NC. Most of you have eaten at Bills over the years and already know what a great spread they put on!
They'll be serving up Fried Chick'n, BBQ, 4 veggies, bread, corn sticks, Sweet and un-sweetened Tea, and two DeeeeeSerts!
It's mighty good eat'n. We're expecting a big crown on Saturday night so be sure and get your tickets early!

Mike, Gus won't be making the trip. I'll be at Mt. Pleasant the weekend before FIF for Gus's jet rally then head out to FIF. It's been a few years since our paths crossed. It will be great to catch up on what's been happening. Where are you staying?

Bob-O, I'm at the Holiday Inn Express at the Wilson exit off of I-95. If they're already booked, there are several other hotels at the same exit. Gus is a wuss!

Rich, I had a tow truck pull the trailer through the snow, uphill of course, out of the driveway onto the street. The street is mostly bare except for the piles of plowed snow.

If someone needs an extra ticket for Saturday night's banquet, mine will be available. I have to be back in Hickory by 3:00 PM that day...no charge.

Larry, honjhv actually lives too far away to make it too FIF. I don't know exactly how far cyberspace is from Wilson, but I think it's a long ride!

Where are the Truant officers when they are needed. . . Hey,I think this new bee is now up to 8 total posts since joining 5 May!
