Default Jet Model stolen at Florida Jets. . .

On Saturday evening 7 March, sometime after 6 pm thru 7 am Sunday morning, the large Fei Bao L-39 which was repacked and sealed ready to ship disappeared. The reason for this late post was all parties who had knowledge of this jet along with two others, could not be reached until the 15th. Andy, Catherine and Wagner finished packing three jets which I agreed to take. John Banner was brought to the Fei Bao tent, introduced and shown the three. He was to relocate them Sunday and hold for my pick up the following Wednesday.

This kit is the new Airex constructed/Carbon fiber bulkhead version. It is believed to be at this time, the only one of its kind in the USA. Included retracts, air system, kevlar tanks, pipe, hardware etc; were all included and carefully packed. This is the jet:

I ask everyone who reads this to keep eyes and ears open. . .when able, watch Ebay, Craigs list etc;. If you hear or see an add or listing referencing this jet, I would certainly appreciate a call to 941-468-1246 or email to; [email protected]

I thank everyone in advance for any and all help !

Sincerely,
Eric Clapp
Jet Central USA

Who the hell would steal that, it would stick out like a sore thumb unless they kept it in a garage and flew it on private, secluded property.

If its really stolen I hope the scumbag gets outed

Man that is low down dirty crap! I hope you find it. You don't want me to say what I think you should do with the person who took it once you find them.....

Eric,
This is really disappointing news, I just can’t believe any of the Jet guys would stoop this low to steal from another modeler. I hope the community can band together and catch the scum bag that did this!

What is really scary is I had my personal jets under the Fei Bao & Extreme ARF Jets tent all week thinking that they would be secure, it’s sad that we have to re think our security at future jet meets.

Seriously, who in their right mind would steal this plane? The only reason I see would be to part it out and sell the components separately. Friggin' scumbags.

Rich I had my new FB EF2000 at GJC tent also. Wow I didn't even think about it getting stolen at night when no one was at the tent. I don't think anyone would try during the event. Sounds like it was taken after a lot of us were gone.

Jeff unfortunately it appears that many of the people were at the banquet Saturday night and no one was left watching the store! It seems that the thief must have had knowledge of this.

This is a beautiful plane and looked very appealing form the details and construction. Hoping to get it at some point for myself

Hope they catch the thief

found a guys plane a while back on craigs list and it all started from a thread just like this. The bad part was the guy that was selling it also had the transmitter powered up and it still had the guys name it was stolen from on it....
It took about a year and a half from the time it was stolen for it to show up on criags list.

Hope this plane gets found. Ill be checking for it.

Wow, Salem Va.... my Aunt, Mom and myself lived there for awhile on Craig Ave. I worked at Leonard Smith Roofing when I was 17...Ahem 40 years ago. How are the RC fields/clubs there..??

Maybe we should start embedding tracking devices within the skin of our planes so we can track them. Like the chip that was embedded underneath my cat's skin over his shoulder.

Hmmm, that might be a great idea.......

https://www.thetileapp.com/how-it-works

If a good portion of the community downloads the app we could get some stuff found. You can tape that thing in any airplane......

This is terrible that even at an event like this your stuff isn't safe. I hope you get it back and quick. I guess maybe next year there will unfortunately have to be round the clock security. Sad when things have to resort to that though. I can't imagine it was a fellow jet guy. Had to have been a spectator/scumbag that was just waiting for the right moment.

What's the thief going to do with that jet? Sell it for parts? He/she can't let it be seen anywhere as is.
