"Sound guys" at Buttonwillow for the whole week sounds pretty ridiculous. That would have to be the most boring, senseless, job of all time. But this is the USA so it may be true. Or maybe it is an effort by some special interest group to deny us the right to fly there? Maybe ground squirrels don't like the noise? Anywhooo, keep us posted, thanks.

no conspiracy at all, the sound testing people come to Buttonwillow a couple
times a year.
This just happened to be the wrong week.
Airports is trying to help, nothing more to read into this

The sound testing people will be wrapping up today, or no later than tomorrow morning.
So, at this time, the Spring Fling is on for Thursday thru Sunday.
However, to be safe and if coming up tomorrow (wednesday), do not attempt to access the
field until after 5PM to be safe.
This information can change IF the testing crew changes their testing for some reason
but we do not expect this to happen based on conversation with them today

OK, new MAJOR update.....
Airports just called Dave S, the NOTAM has been lifted, the sound guys are
gone, and we are free to arrive at Buttonwillow ANYTIME tomorrow now

Oh Man! I'm bummin! My kids are throwing me a B-Day party in AZ, They took off work did a bunch of planning. I'd be a pretty lousy dad if I stiffed them. Family first, right?

Man I am bumbed I cant make it. With a new company wide pay system roll out I am stuck traveling for the next few weeks. Off to Hawaii tomorrow for 6 days home for 4 them to Michigan for 10.
