Hi Guys,

Did some more work:
- smoke nozzle - attached with an alum. bracket to the turbine mount
- exhaust pipe - made some alum. brackets to attach to the fuse
- painted the carbon bypass mouth with heat shield from BVM and made some holes for all the lines and electronics to reach the turbine once installed

Hey guys

some more work:
Final instalation of the equipment...
All trays are in place, all electronics tested and works great.
I do have some issues with the evojet failsafe unit, will see tomorrow if I can resolve this.

Lipo packs installed, all OK.

Testes for air, fuel, smoke fluid - all OK.

Cheers,
Ziv

Canopy and pilot tub instalation.
Trimmed and glued the canopy using zap-goo.
As for the pilot tub - I decided to upgrade a little with some yellow paint... looks better now IMO.

Tonight I will glue it together.

Hi Guys,

Cockpit installed, plane balanced perfectly - did not add a single gramm of lead! Very pleased.
Air and electronics checked again, all works great and ready for maiden.

The plane belongs to a dear friend of mine - Naor Ashkenazi, tomorrow he will pick it up

Weather looks great for a maiden on friday.

Hope you enjoyed this thread.

Cheers,

Ziv B.

Been flying this plane for more than 20 flights now. It belongs to a dear friend. The shockwave is the best sport jet I ever flew. You dont have to think twice before pulling a high G maneuver or overspeeding..

The only thing I would change is the landing gear system - I wish I installed an electric one and not the air operated system. But probably will upgrade it to electric soon after and Jetpower fair coming in few weeks...

Pablo, Scott - great job with this, you made me a fan

Cheers,
Ziv

Test flew mine today - it was bloody brilliant! Took a bit longer to get built than planned after work kept getting in the way but I finally got there.

Excellent detail the wing plumbing. How do you get it all in front of the spar.

I drilled a small hole through the spar and routed the wires and airline through it.

Ziv, very nice work! I'd like to make the same wing connection as you. This small hole in the spar, where was it? Through the aileron servo bay? Was any other holes required beside the one at the root? It appears there are some ply ribs internally too that secure the wing tube socket.
thanks for sharing!

Ziv, I see the spot, how did you get a hole in there? Maybe a very long drill bit? like a 12" bit?
