I doubt it Pete. Spektrum is currently listing it as available in late April.

They might have a demo one on display at the Horizon booth.

I guess I'm just too old to see what's attractive about a black radio. I have a friend who's a Beta tester for Horizon and when I saw the first DX18 he had it was black and I didn't like it at all. I really liked the looks of my DX18 QQ until the paint started coming off but black?......

I love the black and another benefit is I wont get blinded by this Florida sun that always seems to shine in my eye off the transmitter since its like a mirror.

HI guys, how do you tell the difference between a gen 1 and 2 DX18.

Pete, most obvious difference is the speaker built into the face of the Gen 2. Gen 1 did not have audio.

HI, thanks, I've been reading a many threads on the Spektrum systems and have not found any issues with their equipment. Some people will not use Spektrum, I do not know why.
I have a new Gen 1, flew my new Shockwave with it, no problem, can't wait for the new [h=1]DX18 Stealth Edition 18-CH TX System[/h]like the idea of voice.

I thought it was a bit hokey but now that I have the g2 with voice I rarely use my QQ except when I have to let someone fly my tow plane so I can fly my glider.

HI all, other than being a black transmiter, what else does the [h=1]DX18 Stealth Edition 18-CH TX System MD2[/h]do that the Gen2 does not do.

Comes with slightly different options in the box, like a case/neckstrap etc... but other than that its the same like rcpete said.
