Hello Eagle Driver,

I must say its a top notch pro work. Congratulations!! Have few questions:-

1. How many and what Jeti receivers are you using?
2. Is this Gyro which you have installed speed gain assisted?
3. What you think about PB Mercury SrS with Speed Gain Assisted? Would that be as compatible as Jeti Box 200 with the Jeti receivers?

I need to know because I am shifting from 18MZ to DS-16. I was using PB SrS stuff with Futaba receivers but never had an issue untill I had few glitches while using R7008SB with telemetry on. Heard Jeti is glitch free so far

Hello haisanjafri,

thanks for the compliment.

Im using a Jeti CB200 with two satellites Rsat 2 EX.
The gyro is a GyroBot 900 Wing Jet, it measure the true airpeed with a pressure tube.
I saw the mercury first time on a model fair last weekend, it looks nice and well made
but i have no personal experience. Yes it will work with two Rsat like the Jeti CB200.

I use my Jeti DC16 and all the Jeti stuff since 2009 and never had any issue.

regards Steven

Thanks for the help Steve. I did some research. The BEC you used supplies 6V to servos whereas we now have 7.4V servos. So what Jeti offers to achieve that?

You can connect 7,4v batteries direct to the CB200 without any regulator,
so your complete system is up to 7,4v. CB 200 has no regulator inside.
I have maybe 25 brand new Hitec 7955TG Servos which i use in this plane,
thats why I use the MaxBec 2d plus.
The small piece left from CB200 which looks like a Rsat is a Jeti rc-switch.

regards Steven

Finally got my Natrix flying after 5 weeks of building & installing. What a VERY nice plane! Good job Paritech!

B300F turbine, Powerbox Mercury SRS with two Futaba R7006SB receivers, 6,2 liters fuel plus large CAT,1,5 liters smoke oil plus large CAT on that too. Dry weight a bit high 19kg because of the large turbine and quite large LiPo's, still flies very light even full of fuel and smoke oil. Haven't tried full throttle level flight yet, but climbs nicely with 30+kg's of thrust.

Flaps are very effective, landings are easy. Knife edge slight coupling to bottom side, very little in fact, no aileron compensation needed. Don't know exact CG, 380-390mm range I suspect. Very neutral behavior, minimal down elevator needed in inverted flight. Had six flights with gyro turned OFF, next time out setting that...maybe some video too...

I am finishing the drawings of my 80 % Natrix for a P-120 and need some information. Any Natrix owner could tell me the airfoil stab and rudder thicknes at the root?

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Finally maidened my Natrix today. Wow, what a really nice flying jet! Minimal trim with the CG at 380mm and super clean rolls. Mine came in at 40lbs (18kg) dry with a smoke system installed. In addition to the Natrix it was also the first flight for the following:

- JetCentral Rhino 200. Ran flawless and with unlimited vertical.
- Jeti DS-16 with Central Box 200. Worked perfectly and felt great in my hands. Love the turbine telemetry.
- Behotec electric retracts. Very strong, worked perfectly.

Thanks to Scott Foster (Berthoud) and Eagle Driver for the helpful information provided in this thread!

Here are a few pics with a video (hopefully) to follow later.

For those in the US, Pacific RC Jets will be coming out with the T-3 soon which is the same size and will save you some shipping cost..

Looks great Craig! Congrats on the maiden and new model.

Although I have not seen or flown a T1/T3, I have seen/flown/owned many "top" models including the Paritech Natrix, Tomahawk 2.5m Futura, 3.5m Paritech/Tomahawk Viper XXL, Tomahawk Hawk, Shockwave and 3m Leonardo. You would be hard pressed to beat the Paritech Natrix quality wise regardless of price point. The Natrix in this build thread was a full CF model and its construction was impeccable and well ahead of the competition. FWIW, I have owned and flown pretty aggressively the 3.5m Paritech Viper for 4-5 years now which is a model with much less carbon than the Natrix and it looks as good as the day it was delivered.

All the best,

Scott

Scott,
Did you ever experiment crow on your Natrix? As you mentioned before, it is definitely a floater on landing.

Thanks.....Craig

CraigG,
I am now the owner of Scott and Kim Fosters Natrix. I do use crow on my full flap setting. I experimented with it and found that it did help on landing with the "floaty" feel of the Natrix. It still floats in but I feel it helps me get the jet slowed down on final.

I really like flying the plane and I'm sure you will as well.

Sorry for the stupid sideways pictures. I was trying to delete them when I couldn't get them to rotate and somehow I got two of them in there sideways to add an exclamation point to my incompetence. Please forgive me. Anyway, the pic was at an event last weekend.

Darin,
Do you remember how much aileron deflection you have with your crow setup? Any pitch change with the crow?

Thanks!

Congrats Graig, looking good!

I have now about 60 flights with my Natrix and the plane flies nice. But ground handling / tracking is not so good especially when braking on landing. If the brakes bite even a bit unevenly - as usual with o-ring type air systems - it's sometimes quite a wild ride. This I think is mainly due to extremely wide main gear track and light nose. Landing speed is of course a factor here...
Been thinking of changing to Behotec e-retracts and brakes - how do you like these - mainly the brakes?

So far I like my Behotec e-retracts and brakes and I really like not having to fool with air pumps, air valves, air leaks, etc.. My Natrix was a little squirrely on the ground the first two flights and I later figured out I mistakenly had the nose steering in "taxi" mode (i.e. hi-rate/hi-throw) for the takeoffs and landings. I also figured out the mains were a little out of alignment.

So, due to those two mistakes on my part, I can't say yet how well I like the brakes (as far as directional control). They are certainly strong enough and since they can be individually adjusted, I see no reason why they won't be better than the o-ring/air type. I'll post here after I get a few more flights.

Craig
