I learned the hard way that for me, painting is about patience and practice. This was my first attempt at using a HVLP paint gun. I used some cheap paint and practiced painting on cardboard learning how to setup the gun. That helped because so far, I haven't had any runs.

It's been a while since the last update so here's where things are. The painting has been completed but I did run into an issue with the clear. As the clear dried it left spotty, hazy areas. I believe the hazing may have been caused by it being too humid on the day I sprayed the clear. Needless to say, I wasn't very happy and I put the plane aside for a while. Now, I've come to the conclusion to just fly it as it is and I may strip it later and repaint it later.
All of the equipment has been installed. The canopy and windshield need to be sprayed with clear but I'm waiting on for the humidity to decrease before doing that. I took it to field yesterday for range and taxi testing. Depending on the weather, the maiden will be next weekend.

On your paint issue, it's referred to as blushing and is usually caused by too high of humidity, as you mentioned. My guess is that you're shooting outside or in a garage with the door up. There's no need to strip all of the paint off. Wait until the air gets drier, you're not that far from me, so I'd guess late Sep to early Oct. Wet sand the clear coat with 600 then re-shoot the clear.
